2014 Nissan Versa - Review of the Nissan Versa
I bought my Nissan Versa in 2014. It was my first brand new car after having borrowed my mom's 2003 Dodge Caravan. I immediately liked it because I felt it was accommodating for just a single person and the price wasn't so bad either. I paid about 18000 dollars for it. It rides fairly well, however, I've noticed it accelerates slowly. Sometimes, it struggles to overcome speed bumps and hills. Since I have a lot of speed bumps in my apartment complex, this is a problem. Also, the tire pressure is constantly low and several times I have taken it to be inspected only to be told by the repairmen that they aren't sure why it's saying my tire pressure is low. Also, the gas goes very quickly. All in all, though, it is fairly convenient and nice car for a single person or small family.
Story
Right after I first bought my car, I took a long drive to Cape May, NJ. It was a great time in my life and part of it was because I was so happy to have a new car. It was also the summertime and school had been let out. It was nice to just drive down the long roads and listen to music in my own car.
Pros
-Good for commuting (durable)
-Good for one person or small family
-Cheap
-Nice appearance
Cons
-Uses up A lot of Gas
-Low tire pressure A lot
-Struggles to go over hills
2014 Nissan Versa -
I am two years into my lease on my Nissan Versa. I've always had a bigger car, and when I was in the lot it looked smaller than what I was used to. But somehow I was drawn to this car. And boy, my perceptions were way off. This car is really roomy. We took a vacation to Niagara Falls and I bring lots of luggage and things - there was plenty of space. At first the color sort of threw me off because it was a bluish green. I typically like more neutral colors but the more time went on, the more I really liked the color. It's been two years and no problems at all. It runs so smooth and I get lots of positive comments on it all the time. Since I am retired, I don't have to drive it every day but the fact is that I want to. I'd hate to have such a beautiful car sitting in the gara... (more)
Story
My son and I are on Facebook and shortly after I leased the car, I saw a picture of MY Nissan, on my son's Facebook page, saying it was HIS new car!
Pros
My Nissan Versa has many positive features. I absolutely love my heated seats, the GPS that was provided in the car. I love music and there are numerous options for playing CD's, tapes, MP3's in this car. I never knew there were so many choices. I still haven't tried all of them but the ones I've tried are so easy to figure out, especially for someone who is getting up there in age and is not as savvy with these things as the young people are. But for sure, the heated seats are my absolute favorite. Why, I even put them on in the summer. It's like getting a nice warm massage, every ... (more)
Cons
The top negative thing about the vehicle is that my lease expires in less than a year. But I will definitely be looking to lease another Nissan Versa. I'd like to tell you the top negative things about the vehicle but I really can't think of anything. I've never had the car break down, never an oil leak. Windshield wipers worked fine. Took several trips out of state and I had no worries whatsoever. I always felt very secure in this car. I guess the one negative would be is that the car may look a little smaller than some cars but that is deceiving. Perhaps people might think it was... (more)
