My Nissan Versa is surely one of the best cars I've owned. It is great on gas, that's for sure! If driven correctly, a full tank lasts quite a long time. However, a con to this vehicle is that it is an automatic and I do like stick shift. Sometimes I feel as if as an automatic, my versa doesn't shift exactly when I want it to. Not that there's anything wrong with the car per say, I just like to be in more control of my vehicle. My Nissan Versa is a 2013, so its fairly new, and its clean! I don't think it was owned by anyone else before I bought it. Everything was in wonderful condition. The color is red, which is one of my favorite colors, although you should never choose a vehicle by color. I live in Texas, so a working air conditioner is a must! After starting the car, the ac is al... (more)

At the time of its purchase a few years ago, the Nissan Versa sedan was the most inexpensive new car on the market. My wife and I had been looking at spending around $10,000 for a used car. When I researched the cost of new cars and saw that we could get the most basic model of the Nisan Versa Sedan for under $13,000, it was a no-brainer to buy this car. Our basic model of the car means the car does not have electric windows or locks, and the car is a stick shift. This was not a problem for us. If it were, we wouldn't have purchased the vehicle! The car is small, which makes it perfect for city driving and, in particular, parallel parking. The car also gets great gas mileage. We are averaging nearly 32 miles per gallon over the life of the car.
Story
We love driving with our dog in the car! An advantage of this car is it's lower to the ground than larger vehicles, so it's quite easy for our dog to jump in and out of the car. And once in the car, he can easily move between the back seat and the front seat. People love seeing him sitting like a person in the front seat next to me!
Pros
With the stick shift version of this vehicle, the car has very good pickup for a car its size. There are no concerns about not having enough power to get onto the highway. I often find myself accelerating much more quickly than vehicles with much larger engines. The radio also sounds great. There's a very small antennae on the back of the car that picks up signals from a good distance away. The heat and air conditioning work very well too. An advantage of a smaller car is that there is less space inside the car to heat or cool, so the car warms up very quickly in the winter and cools down ... (more)
Cons
One con of the vehicle is we have had an issue with a dashboard light going on about the state of the tire pressure. It doesn't seem like there's any reason for the light to go on, but simply putting some air into the tires always makes the light go away. The car is also not going to be as quiet when driving on the highway as a more expensive vehicle. But these are easy sacrifices to make when considering the extraordinary good cost of the Nissan Versa sedan. Also, being a smaller car, the front passenger seat can strike some people as being on the smaller side, although my six-foot four-i... (more)
