2008 Nissan Versa Owner Ratings & Reviews

2008 Nissan Versa - It's a reliable vehicle
As a first vehicle it is great, simple and reliable. It has decent gas mileage and has not broken down thus far. The interior is very basic and does not have any luxurious items whatsoever. The vehicle performs well on the street and on the highway but will leave you embarrassed if you ever try using it as a race car, evidently because it is not one. Overall it is a very solid first vehicle but eventually it will get very boring to drive it, even if driving is not your passion.
Story
I have taken the vehicle to the beach with friends plenty of times and we are able to fit four plus stuff we need for barbecuing.
Pros
This vehicle is very reliable. I have done below average maintenance, which is very affordable, and it has not given me any problems thus far. Gas mileage is a plus as well, I usually get 30 to 34 miles per gallon in the city and highway combined. The rear seats can be folded down so you can fit Ikea furniture comfortably. The vehicle is fairly decent for road trips since you can fit up to 4 passengers comfortably, and have space on the back for luggage. Parking is so easy with this car, the small size of the vehicle makes it a breeze to park anywhere. The vehicle has about 150,000 miles a... (more)
Cons
The interior of the vehicle is very basic. The most technologically advanced feature I have are the power windows, everything else is extremely basic. The materials used in the interior of the vehicle are very cheap , the plastic parts tend to get old and rattle after a while, the seats have lost their shape, color and have become very uncomfortable. Although you could fit 5 people in the car Fitting more than four people in the car is definitely not a good idea since the car is very small. The car is also very slow, especially when you are driving more than 4 people inside. If you are loo... (more)
2008 Nissan Versa - Best starter car.
This was my first vehicle as a high school student, and its such a great car I'm passing it on to another family member. Overall it's spacious enough. I got the hatchback which is great if you have a dog and or take small trips. This car has been all up and down the east coast with me and my friends. Many road trips in all sorts of climates, from mountains to valleys, beaches, farmlands, dirt roads, you name it. This car has been everywhere. It gets used a lot by the family as a great gas saver & all around errand car as well. With regular maintenance and mostly highway miles due to so many road trips its never ever had an issue or broken down. Not once. I love how fast and zippy it is, it'll get you where you want to go for sure. I think this car would make an excellent car for a youn... (more)
Story
I was vacationing in new England. Specifically the in New Hampshire up by the white mountains, mostly to do some serious star gazing and nature hikes. While I was up there I took the opportunity to go ahead and see if this little thing can make it up the very steep mountains. I drove it up MT. Washington and it made it like a trooper. Could it have performed better? maybe but it made it and I ... (more)
Pros
Fantastic on gas, easily fill up the tank with 20$ and it'll last you a week and a half for a regular job commute. The hatchback is the way to go. AUX cable early adapter, my 2008 has one standard. Zippy/fast/fun driving car.
Cons
None.
