2007 Nissan Versa Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2007 Nissan Versa - Nissan Versa is Under Rated
I have had this Nissan Versa for several years now. But I was definitely hesitant to buy it based on the reviews I found--both online and in print. It drove well and we liked the looks. The best part was it was in our price range--probably due to all of those negative reviews. We decided to take a chance.
Story
In Colorado, there are a lot of hills. And there are a lot of cars that can't make it up those hills on a snowy day. One day, on my way to work on a snowy morning, I was at a light at the bottom of a major hill alongside a very nice SUV. When the light changed, it appeared the driver wanted to "race" me. I thought it was funny, because my car made it up that hill with no problem The SUV? Well,... (more)
Pros
This vehicle has never failed us. It runs well in extreme cold and extreme heat giving us a reliable work car. It corners well, and has great pickup, beating many cars with bigger engines up hills. It stops well too--the brakes are good. When you consider all the reasons you buy a car, this car is great. It does what we need it to do.
Cons
I think the negative things are small stuff, but they are definitely present. The handle keeps coming off the driver's side door. The visor on the passenger side is always flopping down. The door sill on the driver's side keeps coming off, exposing wires. It looks like Nissan chintzed out on the small stuff.
2007 Nissan Versa - Very solid starter car!
I bought my vehicle used, and the first thing I was looking for (at 18 so I didn't really have many requirements) was that it had multiple cupholders, cloth seats, a lot of miles per gallon (28-31), and that it was cheap. It fit all those requirements, and I liked that about it. I've driven 40,000+ miles on it, and now as it sits at 143,000 miles, the only major repairs that I have had to do in four years was two spark plugs and oil changes. I like that after over ten years (age of the car), I can still get where I need to go without having to fork over thousands of dollars or have a ton of extra problems. My cousin has locked herself out of her car several times because hers auto-locks after a few minutes, so while its a decent safety feature, I appreciate that mine does not auto lock... (more)
Story
Delivering pizza in Texas in this vehicle was very enjoyable. Sometimes if I'm riding in a pretty neighborhood, I'll get nostalgic. I will never forget it. Also, when I first got this vehicle, I left it in accessory mode and skipped school and took a nap with the A/C on because I didn't know how the battery worked. That hilarious memory will always be remembered in this car. I learned my lesso... (more)
Pros
Miles per gallon, physical outside design, number of seats, large trunk, works well in Texas heat, four cupholders and storage room.
Cons
Tire sensor always on, spark plug changes are expensive/extensive, front door handle always popping off/hard to open sometimes, and no arm rest.
