1990 Nissan Sentra - It's not too bad.
Over all my Nissan Sentra isn't too bad. The performance so far has been pretty good, it runs good, there's no lag on the acceleration, transmission runs relatively smooth for its age, no hitches or lag on that either. Its a solid piece of Japanese tech so far. The sentries gas mileage is so-so, I think it gets about 30mpg, not too sure, only need to fill it up about twice a week with some usage a week, I only use it about 4 times a week, short trips. As for the overall look, its not my cup of tea, I'm more attracted to something like a mustang, something more sleek then boxy, but its an old car so its expected. No rattles so far, just the glove box if that counts.
Story
Don't have any fun moments other then going to restaurants, and work, but that's not too fun.
Pros
The positives about the Nissan Sentra is that its a solid piece of tech, as in, its more then 20 years old and it runs ok, there's been some problems which ill get at in cons. I like that its easy to fix when there's a problem, a lot of places can fix a Japanese car where I'm at, so that's no problem. The brakes work well, haven't had to change those much. One thing I like personally is its large trunk, you can fit all kinds of stuff in there, groceries, emergency kits, etc. The A/C is also excellent.
Cons
The problems I have had so far have been that the check engine light wont turn off and when I go to get it fixed, it turns off for a bit, then comes right back on so there's a bit of stress wondering what could be wrong with it. Its acceleration isn't all that great, gas mileage could be better, and its also difficult to fix on your own, the engine build is frustratingly small, its tough to get to certain spots, like the fuel filter, super awkward, mustache tearing spaces to take that off. The interior gets extremely hot, but its not as bad as leather. The material of the seats tents to ab... (more)
2014 Nissan Sentra - Reliable, family car.
This car was fantastic! I loved how big it was for not being an SUV or minivan. I have not had a single issue with it, excluding my tires which come from wear and tear. Unlike my previous Nissan, this one has a lot of leg room in the back. Enough room for two people plus a cooler for long, family road trips. The one con about this car would have to be that my sun visors broke right away. I repaired them myself because driving without them would be reckless.
Story
Going on vacation. We took a trip to Disneyland, and I had a great experience because of the leg room part. We had enough room for the two seats in front as well as well as two people in the back and a cooler.
Pros
Defiantly the leg room and reliability. Again, I have not had a single issue with this car yet and can happily say I'll keep using it and will even pass it down to my kids. My favorite feature of this vehicle would have to be the cruise control. Comparing it to my old Nissan, this one works so much better and is so much efficient.
Cons
The one con about this car would have to be the sun visors. It broke a year in, and I had to fix it.
