2000 Nissan Sentra - Nissan Falls Short of Par
The Nissan Sentra is an average economy car. It has good gas mileage, mediocre power, and none of the trimmings you'd expect from a nicer vehicle. It also suffers from poor design and abundant mechanical issues.
Story
The only fun memory I have of this car is that I happened to be sitting in it when I had my first kiss. Of course, the car itself did not contribute to this in any way.
Pros
The best feature of the Nissan Sentra is the gas mileage. If you do even part of your driving on the highway, you will see 30 MPG or more. It is spacious enough for an economy car. I never found myself wanting for more space, except when trying to fit more than 4 people in the cabin. The trunk, while nothing unexpected, is ample.
Cons
Where to begin? Let's see, first of all is the stupid oil dipstick. It is poorly designed and breaks of inside the shaft. So did Nissan change the design for replacement parts? No. 12 years later they are still manufacturing and selling replacements with the exact same design flaws. The message from Nissan: once you buy the car, we don't care about you anymore.
Then there was the $800 "electrical problem" that came up within the first two years.
Then there's the fuel pump. Another horrible design, it's nearly impossible to own a B15 Sentra without having the fuel pump go out well before ... (more)
2016 Nissan Sentra - Great drive!
This car is a very good drive to work and drive to school car. The gas is cheap, I have no issues with how it runs. When I got this car it has 50,000 miles already but it still runs great.
Story
It's fun to drive around with friends and relatives! I drove this car on my 25th birthday to Austin. The drive was really smooth and we had no problems with it. It was a long fun drive and we slept at my friends house who lives there in Austin. And yes, we went to 6th street. Happy memories there for sure! Everybody had a lot of fun!
Pros
Gas price is low to fill up, maybe $20. Smooth driving, back up camera, Bluetooth and navigation.
Cons
I just need to change the win shield wipers.
