We purchased a used black 2016 Nissan Sentra in 2017. So far we have had no mechanical issues with the car, which is good. However, I would be greatly distressed if we had run into any issues as the car only has 35k miles on it. The car is a nice size and easy to drive with the exception of snowy weather where is struggles a bit. The car is also not the smoothest ride. It tends to shake a little bit when driven over 60mph.
Story
I live in the city where parking can be scarce, and I had an experience where I waited for about 10 min behind an SUV trying to pull into a very small space and eventually giving up. It was nice to have a car small enough to fit into a tighter spot.
Pros
The car is reliable. We've never had any mechanical issue with it. It's a very base model which made the purchase price extremely cheap, even for a car with less than 10k miles on it. I really appreciate a car company offer really base model cars with nothing fancy. It's very helpful for a family who needs a reliable car, but doesn't want any of the extras.
Cons
It has not performed particularly well in the snow. It often skids, and I wouldn't feel safe driving it without snow tires in really bad weather. The car also tends to shake a bit when driving over 60mph, it's nothing too severe but it's not a particularly smooth ride at higher speeds. I've had issue with the trunk popping open when I'm driving as the button to open it is very close to my knee and sometimes accidentally gets bumped. This can be extremely stressful if I'm on the highway.

The Nissan Sentra is a very good city car due to its small size. It can be parked comfortably in almost any small space, either on the street or otherwise. It is on par with other economy cars in its class and, while stylish, has its share of squeaks and rattles. The engine is adequate, however the CVT automatic transmission dulls some of the available horsepower, and the trunk is small - it cannot even fit two bags of golf clubs without stuffing them in. While the car can fit five people it's best used on short trips because leg room in the back is practically nonexistent, not to mention the downward sloping roof is subpar for taller passengers. The interior finish is logical and well-organized, however the cabin contains more far more plastic than the average economy car. On th... (more)
Story
Live in the city and have had many people complement me on the vehicle's styling
Pros
Excellent styling, very reliable, economical, comfortable on longer trips, relatively inexpensive to maintain, logical and organized control layout.
Cons
Transmission dulls available power, engine braking when coming to a complete stop, lots of interior plastic, small trunk, very little legroom in the back seat
