2002 Nissan Sentra - Love everything but the MAF issues
I love the car in general. It is a comfortable ride, has plenty of internal room for a family of four. The vehicle handles well on the road and has a nice tight turning radius. It is very responsive to the drivers needs, overall and has no problem gaining speed as needed to pass on the highway. There are several storage spaces conveniently located for the driver to reach while still maintaining a safe watch on the road. The seating is comfortable and easy to adjust. The trunk is spacious enough to transport a lot of luggage or groceries without becoming too packed. It came with a lot of very nice features, and
Pros
My favorite things about this vehicle are the gas mileage, the way it handles smoothly on the road, adjusting to the curves and hugging them, as well as the way it corners. It is a good size car, but drives like a much smaller one, providing easy maneuverability in tight spaces like parking lots. I enjoyed the dependability it showed for the first several years of ownership. It was initially very low maintenance, no real problems. The problems it has now are related to faulty manufacturing, so when I get a new car, it will probably be another Sentra as this one has been great other than th... (more)
Cons
Apparently this is one of the years that Nissan had a problem with the Mass Air Flow system. After about 6 years, I started having problems with the check engine light coming on and the car began to chug as if it were running out of gas and occasionally it would even die while parked at a red light or stop sign. I kept having to take it in to the mechanic and get the problem fixed. Unfortunately the problems have grown worse over time and the repairs never take as long to fall apart again as it did in the beginning. 2008 Nissan Sentra - Nissan Sentra 2008 model.
I like how good it is on gas and that I don't spend a whole lot of money filling up my car. Also it I like the way it looks because it is between a sporty/sedan build to it. Performance wise it is low to the ground and where I live the roads have a lot of pot holes and that is not good for this kind of car.
Story
Driving it home after I bought it was memorable because it was my first brand new car. Also I financed it all on my own without any help which I was very proud of. Although I was scared to drive it because I did not want anything to happen to it that day.
Pros
It is fuel efficient, roomy and it looks nice. I like that they have buttons on the steering wheel that helps you control the radio and also blue tooth. The car also has a smart key so it is easy to unlock the door and not need the key.
Cons
I have had a lot of problems with the tires on the car. I am not sure if that has to do with the potholes in my city or the car itself.
