2014 Nissan Rogue - Rogue designs
The Rogue is a nice car, don't get me wrong. But it has many flaws in design and functionality. Plus, I'm really picky. At the end of the day, I would never buy this car again. It has awful blind spots, the headlights don't light up the road no matter what is done. It does not get the gas mileage it claims.
Story
I lived out of my vehicle for many months. We explored many state parks and rivers and trails.
Pros
The shelving system in the cargo area. It has multiple ways to create custom storage spaces to keep your stuff organized during transport. There is lots of leg room in the back when the front seats are in a normal position.
Cons
First off, the DRL can not be turned off, even after the car is shifted to park. You have to turn the car off, press the e-brake then start it again to be able to have the a/c running, etc., without shining your lights in someone's window, etc. Also, you can turn the dash lights completely off while you are driving, but you cannot while in park. Shouldn't it be the other way around? The headlights! The headlights are so dim, everyone asks if my lights are on when we are driving at night.
2009 Nissan Rogue - Nissan Rouge: excellent mileage, safe ride.
The Nissan Rogue is fun and economical to drive. With all wheel drive on or off road has been a blast. I have driven it on the beach a number of times and have manage to bring it through the softest sand without so much as a pause. It's comfortable, roomy, with great gas mileage.
Story
I was hit going through a crossroad one afternoon. I had the green light, they the red and didn't even slow down. They hit the passenger side straight on going about 35 miles per hour. Neither myself or the other rider were injured. It sounded like the other SUV bounced off of it when we were hit. I was impressed by how little we were thrown about the car considering the impact.
Pros
I love the all wheel drive of the Rogue - it lets us get onto the beach without being concerned about driving off the beach at the end of the day. The AC is powerful down here in the southern sun and quickly cools the car. It has over 100000 miles on it and still runs like new.
Cons
The dark interior makes for an oven on the hot day so I would say that's the only negative.
