2004 Nissan Murano -
It is a fairly nice car, considering its age. I have put some money into it, about $4,000, and it perhaps needs about another $1,000 to be nearly "100%." It has all the features I wanted in a car, and to its credit, in the year that I have owned it , it has not broken down, although lately it has been hard to start on hot days.
Story
Visited my wife's brother, who lives in a small town. It was fun to take it around the yard and get it a little dirty. All too often SUVs don't see any mud or any "fun," and that is a shame.
Pros
It has leather seats, power sunroof, and heated seats. I love the dual power seats in the front. It has a nice, factory stereo and is very roomy. The AWD and CVT are very responsive for a car of its age, mechanical condition, and size. I also like, as do my children, that the rear seats are leather and recline as well. There is a lot of room in the rear for cargo, and with the seats down, I was able to fit a decent-size small sofa in and close the rear deck lid.
Cons
If bought used, as many are, can be considerable cost to make safe and mechanically sound. Not engineered very well at all. Many "normal" maintenance things, such as changing a headlight, bulb, or even the spark plugs, are nearly impossible to do unless you have some sort of automotive education or technical aptitude. Even with the knowledge and willingness to undertake certain repairs yourself, they will take many hours.
2005 Nissan Murano - Multi purpose Nissan merino
My Nissan merino was the perfect fit for my family's life. We travel a lot so the luggage space in the back was ideal. The whole car had plenty of room. My wife enjoys driving SUV's, so the size was perfect.
Very nice and sleek looking car with beautiful HID headlights.
Pros
The cars size was the main pro. It was just big enough for our needs but wasn't as big as a tank. It still got great gas mileage for a SUV.
The back seats fold down to allow twice as much room in the trunk for storage and luggage.
Then back of the car is perfect for our dog to jump up and sit in.
It drives like a car even though its an SUV.
Has a beautiful sunroof that was tinted.
Routine oil change and check ups are pretty reasonably priced
Cons
The negatives were that the automatic door locks stopped working.
The 6cd changer also stopped working after having the car for only a year.
The dashboard is a bit too large for me. Could used that space for something else I believe.
