Nissan Murano Owner Ratings & Reviews

2012 Nissan Murano - An excellent car
The Murano drives smoothly and gets decent gas mileage for an SUV, though that isn't saying much. It has an excellent safety record and has an extremely comfortable interior. I like that the radio and air conditioner and door locks work, which they didn't in my previous car, an old KIA from 1999. It is reasonably priced for its value.
Story
I took a road trip to visit my father with my brother. We listened to great music all the way there, and we felt like we were living in the lap of luxury because our previous car featured doors that didn't lock, no air conditioner, no radio, and brakes that would often jam.
Pros
The leather seats are extremely plush and comfortable. The radio and sound system are most excellent. The keyless entry and drive are also great; cars are getting so sophisticated these days. The tech features in the car are very easy to use, even for tech-illiterate people like my mother. It has great Bluetooth capabilities so I can listen to my Amazon music and Audible books during my long commutes. It has a built-in navigations system so I do not have to be fooling with my phone and Google maps when I need directions somewhere. It's much easier to open the back of the SUV than it was to... Cons
It has poor rear visibility and a slow steering response.
2015 Nissan Murano - Nissan Murano Platinum
Purchased this car used as a lease turn-in. I had been looking for an SUV that was not boring to look at and would be good for around town and also road trips, which I take frequently.
Story
A guy at the recycling center told me he really liked my "little spaceship car". I thought that was funny.
Pros
This was a unique lease turn-in, as it was a special order by the dealership manager for his wife. So it had all the bells and whistles, plus gorgeous dark brown leather, which I really loved. I love the fully retractable sunroof! It's so quiet with the roof open, which really surprised me. My husband loves the heated/cooled seats, although I don't really care about that. I do a lot of road trip driving and average around 26-28 mph, which is way better than my previous SUV. Also, it has a lot of pep for passing on country roads.
Cons
Only con I can think of really is the bad blind spots in the rear corners. They are truly bad. But since my version of the Murano has a 360-degree camera all around the car and lights that light up/alarms that sound when cars are near you on each side, I've learned to rely on those for safety. They've been very reliable so far.
