2004 Nissan Murano Owner Ratings & Reviews

2004 Nissan Murano - Best car ever
My Nissan Murano is one of the best cars I have ever had the privilege of driving. It is smooth, quiet and an outright tank when it comes to safety.
Story
One time, my mother and I were out for a drive, and just spent the entire day enjoying the weather and the joy of handling the car.
Pros
Where to start? This car has everything, despite its age. Speed, handling, safety, room. The sound system is nothing to scoff at, either. It has a spacious dash and side-compartment storage, and handy fold-down seating in the mid and back for ease of movement.
Cons
Not enough space in the trunk, the dash damages too easily, and any dents or dings the exterior of the car takes are very visible. It is also lacking an in-car directional system, like many newer models possess.
2004 Nissan Murano - Nice appearance but not reliable
To be honest, what first attracted me to my Nissan Murano was the look and size of the car. I was looking for an SUV that would be good on gas but also be stylish. Everything started off good with the car that I bought used, but less than a year after my purchase, it seemed that everything that could go wrong went wrong. Thankfully, I got a warranty with the car which has covered over $10,000 in repairs, and the car is only worth about $3,000. There have been problems with the motor mounts, CVT transmission, and more. This car has often left me stranded and made me miss work due to it being in the shop, sometimes once a month for repairs. Looking online, many other owners have complained of similar problems, such as the car not accelerating and jerking. The car also makes so many rando... (more)
Story
Taking the car to the snow. It is a good and comfortable travel car. The car has been used in Utah, and it has been a part of many of my memories of romantic getaways and seeing new sites.
Pros
The car has leg room, a good sound system, moon roof, leather interior, and other features that also bring compliments from family and strangers. It has helped my family to move from state to state, and there is a lot of trunk space. It is a good car for traveling.
Cons
As mentioned this car has left me stranded so many times. There have been times where the car has been in the shop for a least a week for the same costly repairs. It has not been dependable overall. Right now, I am faced with the costs of replaced the CVT transmission again. This is the second replacement, and I have not owned the car even four years.
