2014 Nissan Maxima - A lot of car, not a lot of $
I am on my second Optima, traded in a '12 for the '24 a few months back. Both are amazing cars and the '14 has all the bells and whistles. It has an advanced entertainment center that helps with many tasks and the amount of features packed into the car are amazing for the amount you can get them for. The Kia dealerships in South Florida will compete for your business so shop around!!
Story
It's great on road trips, time flies by and it's an amazingly smooth ride.
Pros
The Bluetooth connects super fast and plays music or a phone call perfectly. There is even a small hard drive in the radio to store a few cd's worth of music. The model I have comes with leather seats that are both heated and cooled. This is amazing living in Florida as the seats cool down in only a few seconds. There's a sunroof that opens 2 windows to give a huge viewing area. My favorite feature is the side mirrors; they open and close when you walk up with the key.
Cons
It's hard to find a negative about the car, I haven't had a single bad experience in 5 months of owning it. The one feature I'd like is remote starting capabilities on the push button models. They don't need a key inserted into the car so why can't it start my ac before I get to the car??
1996 Nissan Maxima - My Maxima maximized my teenage years.
Sleek and sporty with a very comfy interior. The SE model came with the option for a manual transmission that I gladly opted for. Although in hind sight, not the most wise decision as a vehicle choice for a first vehicle as a teenager. In six months I accumulated more speeding tickets than I did in the subsequent decade. My Maxima handled like a dream, and the temptation was hard to fight.
Story
The 3.5-liter engine was a beast on the open road. My commute to school was quite the trip, but I was lucky enough to have a nice stretch of bridge in my journey. Topping out at 140 mph was a regular event until it wasn't. This location was popular for this very purpose, and I was unaware speed traps were a regular event. Pros
The 3.5 liter VQ35 engine was absolutely amazing. Having a design that allowed for enough room to make home repair a reason process was a huge benefit for keeping maintenance costs down. Equally impressive was the entertainment system. Bose speakers came standard and their quality was easily distinguishable from standard brands.
Cons
While the engine compartment provided ample room for most things, I found the placement for the air intake to be placed in a poorly chosen location. Every time I had to access my air filter, I would scrape my knuckles trying to wedge my fingers to access the locking latch. Additionally, the coating on the aluminum wheels did not hold up well over time. It was an easy DIY fix, but it was a time-consuming affair.

2010 Nissan Maxima - Rountree Moore Toyota Lake City
We had a really great salesman. Normally car salesmen are fairly repulsive, but this man was older and not full of it. He talked to us about practical things, tried to help us with the right fit for a car. We returned several times to the dealership to test drive cars and then we returned a few times to drive the car we eventually bought. He was very patient and didn't push us into anything. I appreciated that most of all. The majority of sales guys seem to think you want to decide on a car in the first five minutes and if you don't you're not worth their time!
1999 Nissan Altima - Fitzgerald Auto Mall Hyundai Clearwater
This dealership has amusing TV ads. Also, the spokesman for the business, who is also the owner, seems to have been in business for a long time. The product they sell is decent, if a little high priced. Dealing with their sales people is usually easy without having to deal with high pressure tactics that waste a lot of time.
