I like the shape of this car. It's sleek from the side view, looking like it has shoulders and hips, but the front view looks like a fast and tough animal. Nissan has always had great quality, long-lasting vehicles, minus some years in the early to mid-2000s, when the manufacturing moved from Japan to the USA.
Story
Even though I wish the car had a standard transmission, I still love the V-6 power, and the continuously variable transmission, does give a feel of manually shifting. Really only the fun stories in my town, are being able to whip a left-hand turn without any hesitation, and it takes corners at 25-30mph very well!
Pros
I owned a brand new 2014 Maxima before this one and drove it across the country, FL to AZ, and back, three times. Zero problems, smooth ride. Same with the 2011. It has 115K+ miles and drives as good as new! The sound system is great, with eight Bose speakers, a six-disc changer, and satellite radio capability. Other pros are the soft leather seats and interior, fog lights, and directional signals on the side mirrors.
Cons
The major con is having black leather seats. Don't get me wrong, I love having leather seats and interior, which I did list as a pro; however, I live in Florida. Black leather seats and Florida summers do not go well together! I have to use a sunshade on the front window as well as use clothing items to shade out the side windows. Therefore, another con would be not having tinted glass as a standard feature, especially for the price of the car. And especially, if you live in southern states, maybe manufacture Maximas that have any other leather seat color option than black. Another major c... (more)

2011 Nissan Maxima - Satisfied, but with some buyer's remorse.

Overall, I love driving this car. This is the car I purchased after driving a beater car for many years. I wanted a 4 door sedan that felt sporty, yet had ample room for passengers and this fit my needs. For being a bigger car, it does not feel as such. It drives extremely smooth and has that "sporty" feel I was looking for. It is also a great looking car and I have received many compliments about it which never hurts. However, as my review title states, as much as I love the car I do have some buyers remorse. This purely comes down to how much I need to pay for gas. I get approximately 23 miles/gallon and costs around 50-60 to fill my tank. If I could go back in time, I would look for a more fuel efficient car due to trying to cut costs to purchase a home.
Story
It actually wasn't when I was driving. I brought the car home to show my dad and he wanted to take it for a ride. I was in the passenger seat and he we went on the highway. He looks at the speedometer and says "I did not realize I was going 85, doesn't feel like it." I laughed at the time but made me realize I made a good purchase.
Pros
Feels like a high quality car. Smooth ride. Powerful. Looks great. Heated steering wheel.
Cons
Gas mileage. No Bluetooth connection for music.
