2012 Nissan GT-R - Best car EVER!
I have had my 2012 Nissan GTR for a little over a year now and have been loving every minute of it. Call me crazy, but my commute to and from work is probably the best part of my day. This car is a rocket ship, fantastic experience to drive. The 3.8 V6 motor is a masterpiece; each one is hand built in Japan and custom tuned. Powered by a twin turbo setup and mated to the fastest shifting transmission I have ever used. The Recaro seats hug you in and out of corners an do a great job of keeping you planted and in control. I can't picture myself driving another car. It is the best car I have ever owned.
Story
Spirited driving through mountain roads is probably the most fun I have had in this car.
Pros
Exotic car performance for under exotic car pricing, very user friendly to drive, Great styling that gets a ton of attention, awesome exhaust note, and a blast to drive in Race mode :).
Cons
The interior rattles a little bit, normal driving can be a little jerky when commuting in stop and go traffic.
2014 Nissan GT-R - Fast.
This vehicle from the first moment I saw it fascinated me. It is very fast and its appearance in terms of exterior design (paint, lights, its shape, among many things more) and interior (I mean the seats, steering wheel, color and doors) make it an extremely attractive vehicle in view of anyone. As I said it is sporty, and its speed is great. With the vehicle I have traveled approximately 35 miles and it is wonderful. In the back seats almost always we put a musical instrument, and if you do not go more people do not need to pass the instrument to the trunk. I have taken it (to the vehicle) several times to the mechanical workshop to make an evaluation of the performance but it has always been positive. I suppose that is due to the care that I offer every day to the vehicle. For exampl... (more)
Story
As it is a sports car and that has a totally fast and strong engine, I left my house one day for a place away from the city, in the countryside. Once I got to the field, and away from the whole city or what I did, it was a fun experience. I took my vehicle and a friend and climbed at full speed and traveled for a long time in the field. It was fun to feel the sound of air breaking in our faces... (more)
Pros
Although the engine does not change (that is, it is similar to previous years) the engine has six cylinders in V, 3.8 liters of displacement, two turbos and 549 HP of maximum power, which makes for my point of seen a machine worth admiring. It is a vehicle that although it is sporty has seats available so that other family members or friends can accompany me, and I really like that.
It has a good address mechanism. In addition I have noticed driving the vehicle that although the road is not completely straight, the vehicle never allows me to suffer the imperfections that usually exist on t... (more)
Cons
Although I said that the engine is one of the best things in the vehicle and that it is a great invention. Obviously it is impressive for performance but as other people who are critical of vehicles say "it sounds like an industrial vacuum". And that's not the only criticism I've heard of the engine of this fabulous vehicle because they claim to have the "personality of a filing cabinet".
I have unfortunately crashed a few times in my vehicle, I have not really gone at great speed when these problems happened but the damage that my vehicle has received on the occasions that I have crashed ... (more)
1991 Nissan GT-R - Powerful, rare, iconic.
The Nissan Skyline BNR32 GTR is an elegant powerhouse of a car. It's high-quality design and care, both inside and out, has truly made this vehicle a pleasure to own.
Story
As it is a right-hand drive car (manufactured in Japan), people tend to freak out when they look over to the US driver side and see no steering wheel/driver.
Pros
This car is amazingly fast with a 0-60 time of 4-5 seconds. The car is tremendously fun to drive. Nothing really instills excitement quite like listening to the twin turbos spinning when you really give it some gas. The car is also highly customization both with interior and exterior add-ons and aftermarket parts. Many parts can be found online and there is a lot of specialty shops in the coastal cities in America.
Cons
The vehicle is a product of the 90s through-and-through. The gas mileage is pretty awful in these vehicles (15-17 MPG), which can severely affect a budget in an era when gas isn't below $1 anymore. These vehicles also require a higher octane which also usually costs more. On top of that, outside of Japan, parts can be a bear to find and very expensive to procure, especially when you don't live on a coast/in a big city. These cars can also be viewed as a collectible and are highly sought after cars and thus increases the chance of theft. Very few were made with an automatic transmission and... (more)
