2003 Nissan Altima - Great family driver
As a four-door, this car is an excellent in-town runabout. The nice mileage average is great also for highway travel. Repair and maintenance are straightforward, and reasonably priced. Nissan is know for their workmanship and quality. I bought this car at 10 years old and I expect it to last another 10.
Pros
Handles nicely, even at high speed. Large trunk and back seat. Nice engine layout for home repairs. Power everything is nice. Clear taillight covers over red lights, means a broken taillight is still legal.
Cons
I haven't had any problems that I couldn't fix easily.
2005 Nissan Altima - Nissans are reliable!
When I bought my car it had a little over 100,000 miles on it and since then I've put another 70,000 on it and it's still going strong. Since it was bought well used I expected to have problems with it, and I have had my fair share of expensive mechanic bills, but for such a well used car it has been amazing. I've taken it on road trips ranging anywhere from 300 miles to 2000 miles and it's never given me any problems during those all-night drives. I even drop it up and down Pike's Peak! All in all I would absolutely recommend a Nissan Altima to anyone I know. I would not, however, recommend a 2005 since it is outdated now.
Story
My boyfriend and I took a spontaneous weekend trip to Colorado from our hometown in Oklahoma. We drove about 10 hours to spend the weekend there. We drove up Pike's Peak and ended up getting stuck at the top for a while because it started sleeting! I have taken more impromptu road trips in this car than any other and it has never let me down.
Pros
It's surprisingly roomy, the seats are comfortable, it gets decent mileage and has a nice sized gas tank. Plus you can often drive Nissans 200.000+ miles before they finally give out on you. They're great cars for people who take frequent road trips.
Cons
The handles are fragile! Two of mine have broken off. I have had to take it to a mechanic multiple times for the same problem, it is very finicky about starting (the wheel often locks up and it takes me 10 or 15 minutes to get the car to start).

2004 Nissan Altima - Edmond Hyundai
They had a wonderful selection of cars for sale. Their used cars seemed to be in great shape. The staff while still a bit pushy was very friendly once you started talking to them. They tried very hard to find me what I was looking for. They stayed in my budget. But unfortunately did not have the specific car I was looking for.
