2018 Nissan Altima - Nuts about my Nissan
I owned a 2013 Nissan Altima and really loved the look of it. When I decided to trade it in for a newer year Altima I didn't quite like the exterior look of the 2019. Too much of the exterior changed and it didn't seem like my style. The 2018 was more in line to what I was used too and liked.
Story
During the winter it was snowing and I forgot to turn on my remote start before I left work. The car took extra time to warm up and defrost the ice. A co-worker and I "complained" about our first world problems.
Pros
My 2013 lacked a lot of features so I was really excited to get features that most people just assume are included automatically. For example my other car didn't have cruise control, this new car does. It also has a remote start and a rear view camera which is awesome and helpful. It's got a silver exterior which is my favorite car color and a black interior, which is my favorite interior color. It also connects to my phone through Bluetooth. It drives nicely and is good on gas.
Cons
I wish I could've bought a higher-end model that included built-in GPS and more options in the display screen. I don't have any negative things really, it's the car I went to the dealership to get and it provided me the features I needed. Everything else is just a want.
2013 Nissan Altima - My first experience buying a used car
I bought a 2013 in 2015 so it wasn't too old a car. The previous driver hadn't driven it much because it had low mileage. It wasn't quite the color I would've preferred but it was in great shape. It drove very well. I'm not an auto expert, but I could tell it was well taken care of. It didn't have all the bells and whistles like GPS or a rearview camera like the more fully loaded models, but it was sufficient for what I needed it for.
Story
Road trips to different bordering states that I had never been to before. It sounds silly, but it was me and my car's first time going to these places.
Pros
It was in really good shape. It only had about 1,500 miles on it in only a two-year period. I didn't experience any mechanical issues with it. It was good on gas mileage too. Also, it was roomy and had adequate trunk space. It didn't have any visible damage on it either (scratches or dents).
Cons
It was a base model. It didn't quite have some of the features I would have preferred. This includes cruise control, which made driving long distances a pain. It also didn't have those lights by the flip down visor mirror, sounds weird but it would've been nice to have when the sun was down.
