Nissan Altima Hybrid Owner Ratings & Reviews

2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid - Fuel efficient, good acceleration.
I love the mpg it was 30 mpg in the city and 33 on the highway. it has great acceleration for a hybrid letting you comfortably merge into traffic while having great mpg. It was very roomy every seat had plenty of space. The back passenger seats can comfortably fit 3 adults. It is extremely reliable I have driven the car from 80,000 miles to 140,000 and have had no problem or repairs since I have had it. I was in a car accident where I was side swiped and the car did not lose control. It has very good side crash reliability because of this. One of the things I did not like about the car was that the trunk space was not very large. Another dislike that I had was that the handling was not the best. My favorite part of the car is the styling. The car was a midnight grey and had tinted wind... (more)
Story
Running out of gas but still being able to drive to the gas station. I was on my way to pick up my brother from school and did not see that it was low on gas. When I was picking up my brother it was very hot and was waiting in line so I had the a/c on. I also arrived to early to pick him up so I had the car on for 15 minutes and ran out of gas soon after I picked him up.
Pros
It was very reliable, has great mpg, and is spacious.
Cons
Handling and trunk space.
2014 Nissan Altima Hybrid - Average vehicle
I had owned Nissan's before and had even owned a Nissan Altima SV in 2012. I was excited about the features listed in the sales brochure for a Hybrid Altima as I was impressed by the non-hybrid Altima. The vehicle handled very well, and the gas mileage turned out to be just average. I had averaged over 38 miles per gallon on my earlier Altima, and I was expecting a 10 to 12 mile per gallon increase in the hybrid model. I kept track of the mileage over a six month period, and I noted the very best mileage I got while driving on the interstate at seventy miles per hour was only 42 miles per gallon. I had hoped it would get better, but not much improvement occurred.
Story
I was trying to park in a very tight spot. I found the use of the back-up camera to be of great help. Those not knowing I had such an option just thought I was great at parking...lol.
Pros
I would list the pros as interior room, overall styling, handling in the city and on the highway. In addition, the stereo system with a Sirius radio was a very big plus as I could get all sorts of music channels in addition to a number of sports stations. The seating in both the front and back was pretty comfortable. I also like the back-up camera, as it came in very handy in tight spots.
Cons
I would have to list the overall mileage as a con as the hybrid just never got the kind of miles per gallon advertised. I had it to the dealer a number of times, but nothing actually increased much.
2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid - Jack of all trades
Coming from a relatively middle income family and having a reliable job, it was time for me to buy my own car both for my own commute and for pleasure. I'm not much for luxury, but this car caught my eye the moment I saw it. It looked decent enough, and was not one of those low quality looking models either.
Story
I went out with a couple of my buddies just to get together and catch up with each other's lives. Being the designated driver, I had the pleasure of seeing them just take a load off and be loud in the car just rambling about certain things.
Pros
The looks are actually pretty nice and compact. That and the gas mileage is also pretty decent. Furthermore, the parts were interchangeable so the repair costs were not too high. That and it is easy to customize the interior.
Cons
About a year after I bought this car, one of the front tires ended up going flat beyond repair.
