Overall the Outlander is an okay vehicle. Performance is a bit sluggish but it offers comfort and room for families. The paint has chipped and scratched far too easily and this is my biggest disappointment. Has been dependable and easy to drive.
Story
I live on a fairly decent size hill in a snowy state. The first winter I had this vehicle, and each one since, this particular vehicle has tackled that hill with ease! No more parking at the bottom and walking up no more backing up to gain speed to see if I can make it...this particular feature has been a lifesaver!
Pros
Fairly roomy in the backseat, offers 3rd row seating which is helpful when there is a need. Have not had any electrical issues or maintenance issues with the car.
Cons
The exterior of this car makes me sick. The paint has chipped, scratched and looks horrible. Never have I had a car whose paint so easily removes. Location of the cup holder causes me to reach. I don't want to reach when I'm driving. Centrally locate them for ease of use. The seatbelt location is scratched up where the belt retracts to. Put some sort of reinforcement under here. It is heavily used and the scratches are an eyesore. Uses premium oil - costly oil changes.

Third-row seating is great but difficult for passengers to access. Roomy on the inside. Exterior paint has chipped and fallen off within the first year of owning the vehicle. Other than routine maintenance, the vehicle has held up well with no major repairs. Cup holder needs to be relocated, reaching for beverages can be awkward, as I must lean forward and lifting the beverage hits the stereo above. No real space for a purse when traveling with a passenger. Not a fan of the onboard phone system, voice recognition rarely works. Motor is quiet and does well on extended trips. Hasn't been a bad vehicle, but there is nothing exciting about the vehicle, and the paint has always been a sore spot for me.
Story
No real memorable stories with this plain jane vehicle. One good item to note is that my grandmother is able to get in and out easily. It doesn't sit too low to the ground or too high up.
Pros
Roomy, quiet engine and performs well on long trips.
Cons
Paint chips too easily, no purse room when passengers present and cup holders need to be relocated. The interior plastic scratches too easily as well... apparent after reaching for seat belt numerous times.
