I LIKE MY VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS CHEAP WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I ALWAYS HAD A MITSUBISHI BRAND. OUR CAR AND VANS ARE MITSUBISHI AND THEY NEVER FAIL US IN THEIR PERFORMANCE IN THE ROAD. THE AIRCON IS GOOD. THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH IT. I LIKE IT BECAUSE IT HAS POWER AND IT IS NICE TO LOOK AT.
Story
ITS AN OLD VEHICLE COMPARED TO THE CARS PARKING IN OUR AREA. IT IS MORE NOTICEABLE BECAUSE IT IS NOT NEW.
Pros
IT IS COMFORTABLE. IT CAN CARRY LIKE 8 PERSONS. IT RUNS FAST. THE MACHINE IS GOOD. THE BODY IS DURABLE. IT STILL DOES NOT HAVE ANY RUST. THE PAINT IS DURABLE. IT HAS NICE COLOR COMBINATION WHITE AND GRAY. THE AIRCON IS GOOD. THE WIPER HAS BEEN THEIR FOR A LONG TIME. THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT IS BIG. I CAN LOAD A LOT OF THINGS.
Cons
THE AIRCONDITIONING... WHEN I PARK IN THE SUN. IT WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME TO COOL. IT HAS A TIME LIMIT FOR THE TIMING BELT. THE SITTING SPACE IS TOO NEAR. ITIS NOT SPACIOUS AT THE BACK. AUTOMATIC WINDOW AND DOOR PROBLEMS. IT SEEMS IT HAS BROKEN DOWN. IT IS NOT THAT DURABLE.

In my opinion, this vehicle is one of the best four-wheel drive vehicles money can buy. It was born to race in the "Paris to Dakar" rally. The suspension, both front and back is independent. This means the ride is comfortable and the rock crawling capability is second to none. The vehicle is also fairly large with room for seven with very good comfort for all. The fit and finish is exceptional. There are no body or chassis squeaks and the ride is very quiet. Not to be left out, the engine and drivetrain is very capable and will climb just about anything that is in front of it. If you like to rock crawl with power, this vehicle delivers. This vehicle is what I call a "keeper for life".
Story
We went four wheeling in the desert with our friends...us in our Mitsubishi, and them in there Toyota truck. We got to our intended spot, place the vehicle in 4 wheel low, and just walked up the mountain in total comfort. Our friends were definitely bouncing heavily in their rig. They were a bit beat up.
Pros
There is so much good to say, the entire vehicle warrants keeping for life.
Cons
When you place the transfer case into 4 low, an annoying beep stayed on until it was placed back into regular drive mode. Nothing you can't live with, just a bit annoying.

I love my Mitsubishi Montero. It is an older vehicle but still runs like new even though it is over 20 years old. The vehicle is large but I never have issues parallel parking the Montero. I love many of the features of the car. It has a third row for extra seating which can come in handy. It also has a large sun roof and an attractive looking center console up front. The second row seating is uncomfortable though and the set up of the third row seats makes it difficult to transport large items in the rear, even though you would think you would be able to transport large items in a big SUV. I once expected to be able to fit my mattress in the Montero but was unable to. I also dislike the gas mileage I get with this car but that is expected with a bigger car and it actually gets better ... (more)
Story
I took this car on a beach trip once and it was great to put back the sun roof and head off on a mini-vacation. It is a great road trip car and this is one of the many great road trip memories I have had with the car.
Pros
Sunroof, third row seating, engine, compass in dashboard, materials, luxurious feel
Cons
No space for large items, older vehicle, second row seat padding
