This vehicle is great in the snow; the traction it provides is amazing. It was 4WD and is high enough off of the ground to get through snow. There is more cargo space than a sedan, but just not quite enough to cover all of my personal needs. If space or seating is a primary concern, then a larger vehicle would be optimal. These vehicles are known for the transmissions to go bad. I had mine replaced already, and knowing people in the automotive business, this is not uncommon. Other than that repair, there aren't many problems that I have had with it. All of the features it has are nice, but it doesn't have too much electronic stuff that isn't needed. This means, in my eyes, that there is less stuff that can break. It has a roof rack, which I frequently use to carry my bicycles on. It ha... (more)
Story
This vehicle went up a very large hill near my house, in the snow, when I was going to work. I passed several vehicles stuck in the snow at the bottom of the hill, which were so bad in the snow that they couldn't even turn around to go back the other way.
Pros
Drivability in the snow Cargo space Has reverse sensors Overall feel and quality is nice
Cons
Transmission quality is junk Could use more space Flat tire jack difficult to use Fuel mileage is average for an SUV

When I bought this car I was looking for something that was easy to get in and out of. I also needed a vehicle that could accommodate a trailer hitch so I could carry a mobility scooter. I wanted seats that were not material as I needed a covering that allowed easy sliding and turning to get in and out. I wanted an SUV for easy entry to the back but I wanted a smaller SUV, not one the size of a Suburban.
Story
I said to my grand-daughter "See how easy it is to get in." She said yes its a gramma mobile.
Pros
Of all the great things about this car, I like the way it feels like a car not a big truck like SUV. Yet it has the advantages of an SUV like easy access to the back from outside. It has a feature that lets you open only the window to get something out. In the five years I have owned it, I only had to have it in the shop two times for repairs that were not normal maintenance items.
Cons
One of the things that I liked about it turned out to be a negative for repairs. When my alternator had to be replaced, the shop had to enter from below and remove the wheel and steering mechanism to get to it. Stacking the engine components allows for a smaller car but it makes getting to parts very hard.
