2003 Mercedes-Benz M-Class - It's mehhh.
I purchased the Mercedes M Class, because my previous car had over 200,000 miles on it. I really loved that car – a 2003 Toyota Sequoia. My husband owns a car lot, so I trade on occasion to get mechanical problems rectified or to get lower miles. I purchased the M Class at 80,000 miles, and it needed to have a couple small items repaired but nothing major. It is not as spacious as my previous car, and it is not nearly as comfortable. The seats are hard, and it hurts on occasion to go on long trips. Additionally, the tires are an odd size and therefore are more expensive to replace. What I like about the car is its navigation system and its air conditioning. Both systems are more advanced. The M Class interior is lacking though. The posts by the windshield are starting to have some fabr... (more)
Pros
It's paid for.
Cons
My main negative is that the key fob no longer works, and it's $200 to replace it. Other than that, it's the lack luster interior and gas mileage.
2003 Mercedes-Benz M-Class - Reliable
I really love my Honda Pilot. It is one of the roomiest SUV's that includes a third row. Overall it has been an excellent car for my growing family.
Story
I drove it to the snow and it was very nice because it was equipped with heated seats.
Pros
Pros: This car has been very reliable. It has over 100,000 miles on it and has had no major mechanical problems. The only minor problems it has had was a broken motor mount and an exhaust leak. Both were relatively cheap fixes. This is also a very nice driving car. It's comfortable, has lots of storage space, and I feel safe driving my family in it.
Cons
The major drawback of this car is the gas mileage. It is very bad, so I would not recommend this car if you have a long daily commute. The other con is that it doesn't have features like a backup camera or an AUX input. Also, the plastic lever on the driver side that adjusts the seat is very fragile and has cracked several times.
