I have owned this car for over two years. It's very quick with the all-wheel drive system and very easy to drive in slippery conditions. Plenty of room for four with luggage and a set of pop up seats for two more small framed people in the cargo area. They have been used several times.
Story
Traveled from Florida to Kansas in this vehicle. It was a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Because of the all-wheel drive and nice factory tires, I was able to continue on in several areas where others pulled off the road due to patches of ice.
Pros
Very fast for a heavy wagon. Great interior quality and roomy too. Very quiet while driving. Decent factory sound system.
Cons
Fuel mileage is not great, but it is a sport wagon. Rear hatch shocks/struts fail quickly and must be replaced as they tend to drop the forty-five pound rear door on your head. Maintenance through official Mercedes-Benz dealers is often insanely expensive.

The car drives incredibly smooth and I have never felt safer. While the safety technology is incredibly innovative the entertainment ecology leaves something to be desired.
Story
When showing off the new car to my friend (he drives a Nissan) his eyes nearly bugged out of his head and his jaw dropped. He was laughing with joy to sit in the drivers seat. The best part was all he could talk about was the non-digital clock.
Pros
If I am even approaching another lane without signaling, the car safely shifts itself back into the center of the lane. I also am evenly paced behind cars and trucks on highways and main roads without batting an eye. The new design including the black wood trim on the interior is very sexy and combined with the lumbar supported leather bucket seats the feeling of luxury is overwhelming. The seat control is optimally customizable and the ability to save up to three different positions eliminates arguing within my family.
Cons
The safety and comfort of the vehicle has yet to be matched in my eyes. However the technology in the entertainment and GPS console leaves something to be desired. Mercedes is known for its innovation in safety and for its lack of innovation in "cool" features.
