I love my vehicle; it's very luxurious for a (cheaper-end) sedan. The interior is all leather-like and black, and it comes with a touchscreen with navigation system. It's small (compact), but it's a hatchback, and the back seats can be folded to allow for extra room. The car looks like it's worth more than it is, and it drives the same way. I drove it 1800 miles on a road trip recently, and it performed better than expected. I would recommend 10/10.
Story
I parked in a parking lot next to a bunch of other Mazda 3s not realizing it, and the meet-up took pictures with me. Apparently, there is a cult-following for this vehicle.
Pros
The drive is smooth, and the interior is luxurious. It comes with a touchscreen and Bluetooth connectivity. It's very up-to-date with technology. It comes with a "Sky Active" technology, which is a screen projection screen above the dashboard that projects speed and directions. It's roomy when the seats are folded over. It's got a moon roof. It looks sleek. After market parts are easy to find. Maintenance is easy and affordable. It has rain sensing automatic wipers. Bose sound system. Push to start.
Cons
It's not as fuel efficient as other cars out there. There is no hybrid version for this make of car. Doesn't come with predrilled holes for roof rack attachment. Was not made to tow anything, so after-market part installation of tow wiring is tedious.

I currently own a Mazda 3 and have owned it for about 5 years. I bought it when I was commuting on a daily basis and wanted something fun to drive that also held my family if needed. I bought it without any research and never having driven or known about this specific model. I was actually looking for a MINI Cooper instead.
Story
My son likes to refer to my car as a "Race Car" because of how sporty and cool it looks so that makes it fun to go on road trips with him.
Pros
This car is very sporty and fun to drive. It handles well, is quick and gets good gas mileage. It looks cool and has enough room for my family and some gear in the hatchback if needed. It doesn't cost much to fill up with gas and is easy to clean since it is somewhat small. It has a great radio and very comfortable seats.
Cons
I have had to have my tires and brakes replaced more regularly than any other cars I have owned in the past. I have had to replace the engine once already and the Air Conditioning has broken. The power window controls have started to not function properly and the the interior is made of mostly plastic which does not look very good after a while. Pieces of the interior have broken or fallen apart in many places from what should be regular wear and tear, which is disappointing.
