I chose my vehicle because of the Mazda brand and because it offered a standard transmission. My second car was a "stick-shift" Mustang and I fell in love. It is boring to drive automatic vehicles to me. So, in the search for a newer vehicle, I came across my car. It is a 2013 Mazda 3 and at the time (2015) only had around 20,000 miles.
Story
Since my car is a standard, not everyone can drive it. When my little sisters were learning to get their driver's license (they're twins), I made one of them drive around the block in my car. They did well for their first time. When we were pulling back into the drive way, I noticed that the emergency break had been on the entire time. That had to make it harder to get going, considering she w... (more)
Pros
I personally enjoy the standard transmission. It also has electric windows, which many of the basic model cars (which you have to get to get a standard transmission) did not. The radio works well and has an aux port, to play music from my phone. The speakers are nice and have quite a bit of bass, considering they are not aftermarket. The gas mileage is great and I only have to fill up about every two weeks or so, if that. I have never had any problems and she's only been taken to the shop for new tires and oil changes. The interior was, and still is, in great condition. There are no stains... (more)
Cons
There are two things that tend to bug me about my car. The first, which I knew when I purchased it, is that the door locks are not electronic. This isn't a huge deal, but if you are already running the wires and cables for the electronic windows, then why not go ahead and install the electric locks. The second thing is that the air conditioner and radio are very basic (knobs for the A/C and no xm radio or anything), but there are noticeable places in the dash light area for additional options. Where the radio station lists the channel and time, there is an area to show where your a/c is bl... (more)

I like the way the car handles and performs. It can make U-turns and cut corners with ease even at high speeds. I like the way it looks; the color is Gun Metal Blue. It's faster than most four-cylinder non-turbo injected cars, so I can zip around pretty good in it. The car has been reliable and mostly maintenance-free with the exception of oil changes, tire rotations, and two factory recalls, which I explained in a different question.
Story
A few years ago, I met a woman at one of my friend's band shows, and she was able to get us tickets for the Bears game in Jacksonville for the next day. The drive was about 2 1/2 hours, but it was a fun, comfortable ride for both of us. We had a great time at the game, too! My Bears won big, but I felt bad for my friend who was a Jags fan. She scored free tickets from her work, and I drove us ... (more)
Pros
I like how the car accelerates, handles, and feels when I'm driving. The seats are comfortable for my bad back, which gave me problems in the previous cars that I had owned. True to their slogan, my Mazda 3 "Zoom Zooms" off the line. The car is roomy for me, and I'm 5'10" 200 pounds with plenty of leg room and head room. My passengers are always comfortable in it, too.
Cons
I wish there was more room for my left foot (non-driving foot). It kind of just sits on a small elevated part of the floor, which I wish was wider. The brakes tend to squeak sometimes, but they respond and stop just fine. I've had them checked out due to the noise, but they always test out fine. The standard sound system is okay, nothing special. It's loud enough, but a EQ would allow for better sounding bass and treble. I wish my car has power locks. It's a hassle to reach across to unlock door for my passengers and have to remind/tell me how to lock my car when they get out.

I loved that this dealership made sure everything was okay with my car before I drove it off the lot. They fixed the one small issue that was wrong and allowed me to come back a couple of days later to pick up my car rather than selling me the car without telling me the issues.

They were very friendly and quickly offered to let me test drive the car. The salesman was informative and listened when I told him I wanted something fast but not too expensive. He asked if I was ok with a manual and I said yes. They have a no haggle price that was perfectly fine for the year and mileage and make of the car
