2014 Mazda CX-5 - Love the space and versatility.
Love this car as mother of two young children lots of trunk space and interior space. Can accommodate double stroller and lots of bags. The passenger seat is roomy to allow for car seats and I have even fit up to three car seats in the passenger row. I love the gas consumption. This car has the versatility of a smaller car but packs a punch on room and ride.
Story
I pulled up to pick my children and neighbors kid from school. One dad standing by said I would never fit 3 kids in back row! I drove off with three car seats correctly installed, and his shocked face in rear mirror.
Pros
Gas mileage. Trunk space. Smooth ride. Lots of accessories.
2016 Mazda CX-5 - Best budget crossover with luxury feel.
I believe this is the best-looking midsize crossover on the market. In addition to the best looks, it is also the best driving crossover in the class. Typically you expect a lot of body roll and poor steering response from a crossover in this price range, but the CX-5 blows other out of water. Another aspect that set Grand Touring CX-5 from others is the quality of interior. All materials are soft leather or metal, just like you would see on an Audi that costs twice as much. Great quality for the money. Looks even better than your average German SUV as well.
Story
On first test drive, we put it in sport mode, and I hit the gas too hard. My wife's head smacked really hard into the headrest.
Pros
Great design language. Audi-like interior. Sport mode.
Cons
Slow to accelerate in normal mode.
