I purchased a 2013 Mazda CX-5 as a custom ordered car. There were some options that my dealer did not have, so it was ordered and arrived in a timely manner. The car has all the options I wanted. I purchased a Grand Touring model with the Technology Package. This added navigation, direction sensing headlights and a few other tech goodies. These have been a great value for the car.
Story
Moving nearly all my stuff from Fort Worth to Austin.
Pros
For an AWD car, the gas mileage has been decent, around 27 mpg. Acceleration with 2.5l motor is peppy, but it's no race car. The beige tan leather interior has held up well over the last few years. I have only had one major mechanical issue in 92,100 miles of service. The infotainment system has a number of very nice features, especially for the integrated GPS system. Steering and handling is very good for a car in this class.
Cons
The sound system could be stronger. The seats are comfortable only for short drives, I would not recommend this car for a long road trip. It can get noisy when pushed hard. Like nearly every other car in this class, it could use about 50 more horsepower. Limited towing capacity.
