The Mazda CX5 is a fun little SUV to drive. In size, it's in between the sedan and the monster SUVs like Suburbans. It sits up high enough that you can see over the traffic in front of you, but not so high that you need a lift kit to get into it. Mileage is great compared to other SUVs and crossovers. There aren't a lot of them out there that get 30+ miles to the gallon on the highway!
Story
I've used this to haul nice things from Lowes and not so nice things from my house during the renovation. It's a tough little bugger that stands up to a lot of abuse.
Pros
This car handles beautifully in all types of weather. It's heavy enough that it doesn't slip and slide all over the road when there's rain or snow. It also drives well in icy conditions. It is comfortable for me - I'm 6'2", and it's difficult for me to find cars that I can really relax and drive in. The moon roof is a really nice addition as well. Everything you need is right on the steering wheel, so you don't have to reach around everywhere while you're driving.
Cons
If there was anything negative, it may be that the cargo space is not as large as in a full size SUV. However, it more than makes up for that with the extra mileage it gets over the others.

As soon as I sat in the driver's seat I knew it was the car for me. It fit me well as though it were custom made for a tall person. It handles well in any weather. I've run it in cold, rainy, snowy, and overheated summer. I've never had any problems navigating the roads.
Story
I've packed the car with kids and gear and headed to the beach many times.
Pros
There is plenty of head room even without a sunroof. The mileage is fantastic for an SUV. I'm still getting 30 mph on the highway and close to that in the city. There is plenty of get up and go in this small engine, and I don't have difficulty passing other vehicles on the road. It also handles well on mountain drives. There is plenty of cargo space in the back as well.
Cons
It would be great to have a little more leg room in the back seat. Although it says it seats five, you couldn't comfortably seat three adults in the back seat. The tires are not standard size so they can be a bit pricey. It would also be helpful to have an automatic lift gate for the back.
