THIS WAS A VERY GOOD SUV THAT I PURCHASED, IT HAD ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES THAT I WANTED FOR THAT YEAR AT WHICH I PURCHASED IT. IT IS VERY GOOD DRIVING IN THE SNOW WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL BUTTON, ITS A GREAT LOOKING SUV, HAS ENOUGH HORSEPOWER FOR A V6. IT HAS GOOD GAS MILEAGE IN THE CITY AND THE HIGHWAY

The Lexus brand is what I call the affordable and efficient choice when looking at luxury car brands and associated models. I think it is really the starting tier for luxury vehicles and I think that the RX 330 embodies that sentiment. I think after having this car for almost three years, that it does have some nice features and qualities, but when looking at the product in the big picture view, is overpriced for what you get.
Story
The speed and handling. I think that one of the great things that Lexus does have going for it is a smooth ride. This car does a decent job with acceleration and braking, and definitely is quiet and smooth. I remember times when I would drive through wooded roads and still often do. It is a great combination with the quiet natural scenery and a comfortable, smooth, and powerful vehicle.
Pros
Well you definitely pay extra for the luxurious Lexus brand, but the ride is definitely smooth. Handling is very nice for an SUV. I consider the Lexus RX 330 to be the model between the larger SUVs. The larger SUV that I refer to are the models roughly the size of a Ford Explorer and above. The Lexus RX 330 is closer to the Ford Escape or Honda CRV in regards to size. Definitely bigger than a classic sedan, but not to large to be cumbersome. As a driver who used to have a Ford Explorer and switched over to the Lexus RX 330, the difference is night in day in regards to handling. Accelerat... (more)
Cons
It is definitely overpriced for what you get. I felt that the car's price was competitive with Mercedes Benz and BMW, and I find those cars to be better overall when looking for car with luxurious qualities. As also previously stated, I was coming from a Ford Explorer, and after having this car, I actually see myself eventually moving to a Ford Escape Hybrid. Which brings up the next con. The car is expensive to fix when it breaks down. However, Japanese cars are some of the best and efficient on the market so fixes are rare, when compared to my Ford Explorer which seemed to always have is... (more)

My Lexus has been a great vehicle for me and my family. I am a daily driver of the vehicle, and I have already put 30,000 miles on the odometer. The ride is very comfortable, and everything has gone smoothly. The options purchased on the vehicle make it very well appointed, and I feel I have everything I need. The reliability has been excellent, no mechanical issues, no rattles, humming, or noises in the cabin while driving. The dealership provides me free maintenance for two years so I haven't had to do much with it.
Story
Getting up a really steep hill by my house. I didn't think that it would be able to do it, but it did! This thing has lots of low end torque and good tires, and it gripped the pavement and up we went!
Pros
The reliability has been good, it has a luxurious feel to it, and I have a lot of modern features with it. I really enjoy the lane departure warning and the leather seats on the vehicle. They really make me feel like I am a king or something. I also love the navigation feature on the dash and having everything integrated like that, really makes it much easier to get somewhere. I like the design of the dash too, it looks really sleek.
Cons
The gas mileage could be better but is in line with competitors that type of vehicle.
