2006 Kia Sorento - Great Little Family Vehicle
I am writing about my 2006 Kia Sorrento LX. I think it is a great little suv. I bought it new and have had very little problems with it. I feel the it gets pretty good gas mileage for an suv and I feel that my family is safe with the air bag system that is in it.
Story
I have done a lot of camping in the back of this vehicle. If you let down the back seats, there is plenty of room to sleep if you're not to tall. Sure beats having to put up a tent!
Pros
I love the looks of this car. It handles great and does not have any blind spots. It fits four adults very comfortably. It doesn't have all the fancy features like the EX model but I didn't want them. It has a nice stereo system, and excellent A/C & heater.
Cons
One of the only things is, I wish it was four wheel drive. It has a traction control button for snow, but it's not worth a flip. It does not do well at all in slick or very wet conditions. The price was also a little bit on the high side, but I think that was primarily the dealership. It has had to visit the shop once or twice and the repairs are quite costly. It seems you have to take the front end apart before you can fix any kind of mechanical problems, such as any types of belts & etc. Oh yeah I have to replace the headlight bulbs quite often.
2003 Kia Sorento - Reliable and Consistent
This care has lasted well for the past 10 years. I have never had to do any major repairs or maintenance on it, other than oil changes and new tires (once). I lived in snowy Utah during college and it handled great in that weather. It has been reliable and has been one thing I haven't had to worry about.
Pros
It is reliable. It hasn't had any problems or had to have any major repairs. It also drives well. It is pretty smooth and is comfortable to ride in for long distances and road trips. The back has plenty of room for storage. It's also nice that my daughter's car seat can fit in the middle, rather than having her on the side.
Cons
It doesn't get great gas mileage, maybe 16 mpg. It also doesn't have many bells and whistles in the electronics department, no GPS or built in satellite radio or anything.
