The Kia Sedona is a mediocre minivan. I have had a number of problems with this van and the majority of them are a result of a wiring problems. At this time, I do not have a working radio in the vehicle. I checked the fuse and changed it without any luck. I have been told it is a Korean-built engine and that the installation did not fit well for whatever reason. This basically means that there are many electrical problems associated with this vehicle.
Story
When we first got the vehicle, it would shake at or over 55 miles per hour. We thought the engine was about to either fall out or blow up. We had a tune up done on it immediately and that helped, but it still did shake around 55 miles per gallon. We finally found it was that this car needed mid-grade gasoline that totally fixed the problem.
Pros
One thing that is acceptable about this minivan is that it has consistently gotten around 25 miles per gallon. With this vehicle we are able to transport numerous items either with the seats up or they can be removed to give much more space. I do also like the pick up of the engine of this vehicle and makes passing much easier.
Cons
As stated earlier, the wiring in this minivan is very bad. There are at least three warning signals that are showing up almost constantly as there is a problem when there is none. We have had to have the break lines changed several time due to where they are located and living in a state which has snow. The break light also comes on and buzzes constantly for about a day when there is no problem.

The Kia Sedona is a mediocre vehicle that we have had many problems with but it has survived for over 150,000 miles. More bad than good though. Many side items have been a problem and my vehicle was one that the electronics were rather messed up so once it goes the car becomes too expensive to fix.
Story
We had a massive rain storm and went through a puddle that was to the top of the wheels. We had water in our fender wells and caused scraping noises scaring us into thinking we had major problems.
Pros
Being a minivan it still gets over twenty-five miles per gallon and the ride for such an old vehicle is quite smooth. The heater works fine and we take full advantage of the extra room to carry many items.
Cons
Many of the electronic extras either do not work, such as the radio, and the basic set up of the van is bad. Do to the undercarriage being set up to cause problems we have almost yearly problems with our brakes. Living in the Midwest and snowy area it ends up rusting out brake lines.
