I have been impressed by how comfortable the Kia Optima is to drive. Previously, I have owned smaller, sportier vehicles, but this one still packs a punch. It doesn't get the best gas mileage, but it is still better than my Mazda with the rotary engine.
Story
My car has gone a little off roading, because my wife is a bit adventurous. We've almost got stuck in the mud a few times. But always made it out. Pro tip: Keep cat-litter in the trunk. It'll soak up moisture and get you out of a tough spot sometimes.
Pros
Comfort. This car is comfortable is many ways. It isn't a huge car, so it is easy to drive in city traffic and find parking. It has comfortable seating for four, though it does have a middle seat belt for a fifth. And the fifth seat belt goes across the body not just the waist. It has been incredibly reliable. It has some nice get-up-and-go. Mine also has a moon roof which I love.
Cons
Gas mileage could be MUCH better. In the city, I'm lucky to get 20 mpg. I'm a little disappointed that it is an automatic. It is the first automatic I've owned. And the transmission is starting to show some wear. Often times you can feel it sleep when changing from first to second gear. It is jarring. Plus, there is some body damage.

Bought this new KIA OPTIMA LX last week... already took it on a road trip. I must say I'm very impressed with this car. I like the way it drives like a small sports car. Very comfy for me and I'm 6'3" and 240lbs. I've always worn a baseball cap and it does NOT touch my PANORAMIC SUNROOF as someone else suggested, very comfy electric leather seats, remote start is flawless, the UVO entertainment system with the premium sound is awesome.

My friend and I purchased our cars right around the same time and didn't realize we did until a month or so later.

They gave us a great trade in value amount and we made a nice purchase and although there was an issue with the cab lights they were able to repair for us promptly! Also got great mileage warranty!
