2004 Kia Optima - Gets the job done
I bought this car because I needed something reliable that got decent gas mileage for a new job that came with a 50-mile commute. I get 25+ mpg consistently whether it's highway or city driving, the car has good power, it's quiet, and performs as I expect an (at time of review) 11 year old car to do.

2007 Kia Optima - Great for the price
The car, despite being only a 4 cylinder, has a lot of get up and go. It has a low center of gravity and a wide wheelbase, so it is very responsive when you turn as well. I like that it has a relatively short front end and a small back end as well, so you really feel like you know where the vehicle is. The blind spots are small or nonexistent. I have close to 100k miles on the car and it has required nothing beyond routine maintenance.
Story
I purchased a 60" TV on Black Friday without thinking about how I'd get it in the vehicle. It came so close to fitting in the trunk with the seats down, but I ended up having to tie down the truck after driving ever-so-carefully to my in-laws with the trunk unsecured. I'm watching the TV now, so everything worked out OK.
Pros
Compared to the last car I drove, the gas mileage (around 30mpg) is much better, so that is a big plus. The other thing that I love about this car is how roomy it is. My wife has a Pontiac Sun fire, and I have essentially no head room. The cabin is roomy and so is the trunk. Also, I've been in a minor accident in this car (not at fault) and it performed exactly as you'd hope. Damage was minor and the car fared much better than the other guy's.
Cons
The only thing I wish was different with this car is the power. That said, I'm a man with a heavy foot, so more power is always desirable, but this car is no less powerful than any other comparable car.
