2010 Kia Optima - No complaints with this car
The styling is just middle of the road, but it handles nicely. While this is by no means luxury car, it really is in the same class as a Camry or Accord for less money. I can't say that it's a pleasure to drive, but at the same time it is nimble and reactive enough to not be a bad daily driver.
Story
I got stuck behind a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans in this car. The parade had already run its route and was heading back to the staging area. So we slowly cruised with the parade and threw beads out of the car the entire way.
Pros
This car gets great gas mileage, close to 40mpg on the highway around the high 20's in the city. Nice smooth ride. I'm up to 55,000 miles and haven't had a single problem with this car. Good solid reliable transportation. I purchased this when it was one year old with less than 20,000 miles and it was a steal. The 10 year warranty is at the top of the automotive industry. Everything about this car screams economy but it really isn't all that hard on the eyes.
Cons
The styling is nothing to write home about. Not bad, just very basic. It simply isn't my cup of tea. Most of my cars in the past were much sportier and faster. The 4 cylinder is lacking a lot of power compared to the 6 and 8 cylinders that I'm use to. The cloth interior in mine isn't very attractive. The factory floor mats didn't hold up very well.
2012 Kia Optima - Amazing car. It has held up well over the years.
I love the luxury look of the Kia Optima. It has so much room inside and is so nice and comfortable for hauling several people. The customer service for Kia has been outstanding, and that alone would have me buy another vehicle from them. This has been an outstanding family vehicle for us and our new little family. Plenty of room of car seats and bags and everything to haul a baby around.
Story
When me and a friend drove from Louisiana up to the northeast and back in it. It was a comfortable ride and a great and fun trip.
Pros
I love the room inside the car. I love how nice the leather seats look and feel. I love the sunroof. The gas mileage in my optima is GREAT and definitely one of the best things about it. It packs a punch as far as power goes, especially for what it is. I like that I have the option to turn on and off the eco boost.
Cons
The biggest thing I have to complain about is about a year after getting the car, I had to replace the fuel pump on it. I didn't think I should be having to replace something like that so soon. The motor has had to be replaced due to a recall, but the service department at Kia handled that very well.
