2016 Kia Optima - Great commuter car
This car is excellent for those that are commuting or taking a long trip with a small family. This car gets great gas mileage, and the vehicle I drive is very much loaded. I feel the engine is great, especially with the three drive modes.
Story
I recently allowed my mother to drive my car, and she could not figure out how to start my car. Because it is a keyless start and entry, she could not figure out that has to press the brake to get the car to start.
Pros
I love the rear back-up camera and the heated and air conditioned seats. The sunroof/moon roof is awesome! The three drive modes are good for a multiple driver household. The gas mileage is good for those city and country drivers. I really like the size of the trunk, it is very adequate for a small family or a large grocery shopping trip.
Cons
I do have to say that the few issues I have had are the cabin pressure on multiple occasions I have had to have this fixed. The pressure and seal of the sunroof/moon roof have caused an annoying rattling within the vehicle. The other issue I have come across is the size of the vehicle, while roomy I do feel the front end is a little excessive.
2011 Kia Optima - Reliable and strong
This car performed better than I expected. My brother originally owned the car, and he is a bad, aggressive driver. Despite this history, the car seemed to handle well and has never shown major signs of wear and tear. Only now, six years after I got it from him, have I begun to notice a potential sluggishness in the transmission. Even this, I am not 100% positive if I am mostly imagining the change.
Story
I had fun hopping bumpy hills with it in the country. This should theoretically wear on the transmission/shock absorbers, but the car hasn't shown any signs of degradation from this.
Pros
It handles well. It is reliable. It drives in a predictable (in a good way), consistent manner.
Cons
I think the gas mileage has worsened since I originally began driving the car. I commute five minutes daily and used to fill up about once a month. Now it's once every three weeks or so it seems.

The customer service was awesome. The lot we first went to didn't have what we were looking for, so they drove us over to a sister lot that did have something of interest. Once there, we took a test drive back to the main lot, which is were we settled paperwork. We also got a free gift for purchase.
