The KIA Optima Hybrid is a car with great gas mileage. It is a comfortable ride and the steering is tight - similar to a sporty racecar. The display on the dashboard shows how economic I am driving - the more flowers on the branches, the better for the car's performance. It makes me feel good to see the benefits right in front of my eyes. The stereo has a good quality and the Bluetooth technology for synching my iPhone is a great asset. The rear camera is helpful when backing into a tight parking space and the electric driver's seat is super convenient.
Story
This car is new to me (I've only had it for four days). I'm looking forward to creating a fun memory or two headed to State College, PA for some football games this fall.
Pros
One of my favorite features is the hybrid engine. I'm thrilled that the gas tank indicator has only gone down to half of a tank and I've driven over 300 miles. I could not have done that in my previous car (KIA Sorento)
Cons
Unfortunately, this car has over 29,000 miles and there's a small issue with the electronics - the dashboard lights get bright and dim on their own. The trunk space is limited and there are no heated seats. This car is not made for four full-sized adults. It's more of a three person car - each with a couple of bags or purses.

Quite pleased with performance of four cylinder engine, ample power to maintain freeway speeds and acceleration.. A little stiff on the suspension, you feel every bump in the road.
Story
Free washing by dealer is nice. And winning wagerers (who do not believe friends!) who discount our forty miles to the gallon fuel. To be fair most of our driving is rural or freeway. Mostly north of Seattle.
Pros
Full sized four door sedan that seats five comfortably.
Cons
Drivers seat to low for five foot ten inch driver. The outside mirrors left me with blind spots until I added a two inch cushion.

The sleek design looks great and modern. The interior is very comfortable and modern, still feels current though the model is over six years old at this point. The ride is incredibly smooth and the car remains very responsive. Throughout my ownership of the car, it has not given me any significant problems and has been easy to maintain. The car is also fun to drive; it has adequate power and acceleration while not feeling like it is overworking, something that many cars I have owned in the past have felt like.
Story
One time when my wife and I were bored and did not have anything to do for a day, we got into the car and drove off to Las Vegas, which is about four hours away, and then came back right after having breakfast.
Pros
The gas mileage is still pretty comparable to more recently released hybrids. It's combination of large gas tank and fuel efficiency means that I have to fill the gas tank a lot less frequently than my previous car. The technology does not feel outdated and still works seamlessly with newer phone technology. The trunk is pretty spacious considering the presence of the batteries back there. I feel like I am going faster with less effort that I have felt in previous models that I have owner.
Cons
There are some technologies that are missing that are available in newer models (i.e. Pandora/streaming music compatibility), the dash feels a little bit like a car from a previous generation, could use some digital inputs.
