2009 Kia Optima - Nothing special about this car

This vehicle has nothing special about the looks of it. It hard to find in a parking lot because it blends in with just about every other car of the same color. I purchased it because I thought being a smaller car it would provide me with savings in the cost of gasoline, but this has most assuredly not been the case. The comfort in the ride is also not that great and considering that I did not buy the least expensive or smallest size car this company sells I expected it to be better than what it is. All and all I just do not feel this car has anything special to offer.
Story
I went to a local hardware store to purchase some items and the employee was amuse to see just how much I had planned to fit into the trunk and was even more amused to see me actually do it.
Pros
The only positive thing about my vehicle would be the fact that even though it is a smaller sized car it does have a very generous size trunk and I have been able to always fit every thing into it on every occasion. Also, when the need arises I can always fold down the back seats to hold even larger items.
Cons
I was under the impression that I would get very good gas mileage with this car but instead I don't get nearly what the sticker on the window claimed I would. Also since I live in an area of the country that has snowy winters it was important to me that this car would handle well in inclement weather and it has most assuredly not, it is the worst handling vehicle in the snow that I have ever driven in my entire life. I'm afraid every time that I venture out in bad weather that I am going to have an accident.

I was a little skeptical at first. This car was very middle of the road priced and I haven't heard great things about Kia. Well boy was I wrong!!! The car is a great car. It's the first one I've bought that has been in the mid size range. The car runs and drives great and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend the Kia Optima to anyone looking for a great ride, reasonably priced car that gets great gas mileage.
Story
I got the car stuck in the snow. It handles so well and did so good in the snow that I over estimated it's capabilities and got it stuck in the snow so deep that I couldn't open the doors. I had to push and push and push to get the doors open and then a snow plow truck had to plow me out. Car handles well in the snow with a good set of tires.
Pros
The 4 cylinder engine is pretty peppy. The seats are comfortable. The dash gauges are illuminated in a read light. Cool! Love the two tone black and tan interior that I got. It gets really good gas mileage for a larger sized care. I drive highway all the time and get anywhere from 30-38 highway mpg
Cons
The tires that come with the vehicle do not last long at all. I got 28K out of the tires and had to have them replaced. The dealer said that I was really lucky to get this much. The factory puts a cheap tire on the car to get it out the door, then it's your problem.

I enjoyed my Kia Optima. The interior design is very sleek. The quality of the leather seats is very high for a vehicle that is around 25k. I wish the screen was a little bigger and have more options on what it can do. The heated seats in the front and back is something that everyone loves when they ride with me. Also, the heated steering wheel was something that I've always been missing in my life. I have a double sun roof that was one of the main factors of me purchasing the vehicle as it is very appealing to not only the front seat people but also people in the back as they can look up also. My vehicle is 2015, so I am not a fan of the barrier between the two sun roofs, but on the new Kia Optima, it is cleaner looking and doesn't have the barrier. The gas mileage was great, as there... Story
My Kia has taken me all over the country from mountains to the ocean and has helped me explore new places within my own state.
Pros
I love the heated seats in the front and back seats. I also love the heated steering wheel. The double sun roof is one of my favorite features. The interior light colors along with the dark ascents is also very fancy looking.
Cons
A major negative is how low to the ground the vehicle is, which is stressful during the winter season. The button to pull down the backseats is in the trunk, which took me about a year to finally find so that was inconvenient.
