2015 Kia Forte - I love this vehicle!
The Kia Forte is one of the best cars I have ever driven. Previously I owned a used Forte and drove it nearly 10,000 miles before trading it in for a brand new one. I never had any mechanical issues with the used one, and I haven't had mechanical issues with the new one, either, which leads me to believe that Kia knows how to put together a vehicle. The rest of my review will be about my new Kia. The style of the vehicle is beautiful. It's sleek and sophisticated with just a touch of sportiness that makes it look more expensive than it is. The features offered (UVO, back up camera, heated side mirrors, alloy wheels, etc.) are all exceptional for the price point. Unfortunately the Forte doesn't come with a blind spot camera. The features offered (UVO, back up camera, heated side mirrors, alloy wheels, etc.) are all exceptional for the price point. Unfortunately the Forte doesn't come with a blind spot camera. I have taken multiple road trips in my Forte and I haven't ever been uncomfortable. The seats do stain pretty easily, though, even if you just spill water. The car is spacious and the seats are very nice. The back seat is especially nice. I have a large breed dog who actively hates car rides but in the back seat of the Forte she has room to lay down and sleep. In my pre-Forte days, I'd have to collapse the seats to give her a flat surface to lay on but not anymore! The climate control is also very dependable. Fuel economy in the city isn't the best, I'll be the first to admit, at 20-25 MPG but on the highway it averages 30-35 MPG which is fantastic, especially on road trips. I can typically do about 900 miles for $60 in gas. I have noticed though that the paint on the Forte is pretty thin so I'm worried that in a few years I may have rust spots peaking through, but over all it's a solid vehicle.
My best friend and I went out to a popular restaurant for lunch to celebrate my birthday and I had just purchased the car a few days prior. The parking lot was very crowded when we came in so I had to park all the way in the back. When we came out, there wasn't a vehicle parked in front of me so I thought instead of backing out, I would just pull straight through and drive out that way. Well, what I failed to recognize was that, unlike most parking lots in the area, there were small concrete barriers in between rows. I shifted into gear and started pulling forward when this horrible scraping noise started up and the car started shaking. I screamed and she screamed and I backed up as fast as I could and when we saw the parking barricade that at this point had been pushed halfway into the other spot, we started laughing so hard we could barely breathe. We got out of the car and had to push the concrete barricade back into place, still laughing, and went on our way. Luckily there was no damage to my front bumper!

2010 Kia Forte - Kia Forte, Economical, Practical and Comfortable
I am very pleased with the Kia Forte my wife purchased new in 2110. I am retired but she drives approximately 40 miles round trip to work and back every day. She selected the KIA based on price, overall styling, size, roomy interior and especially fuel economy. I drive the car frequently as I do the grocery shopping and such for the 2 of us. I also use the car to transport my RC aircraft to and from a nearby field where I fly with a couple of my neighbors. This car is quality built from front to back. The fit and finish are equivalent to higher priced luxury cars. It is quiet, comfortable and has given no trouble in spite of the higher than average mileage put on it. The only thing ever needed, besides routine, normal maintenance, was a headlamp replaced. Gas mileage is consistently around 30mpg. The fold forward rear seats allows me to carry more aircraft at one time than I could with a normal trunk. If I were not retired and could afford to do so, I'd get one for myself! Oh, I almost forgot. Though I am only 5' 9" tall, I still have trouble entering into most vehicles, (even SUVs) without ducking, or hitting my head. I can get in and out of this KIA easily.
Thanks to the fold forward rear seat/trunk carry through feature I make use of our Forte to haul RC model airplanes, helicopters and quadcopters to a nearby flying field. I can load in a completely assembled Piper Super Cub which has a 55" wing span and still tuck in a smaller, flat foamy 3d type plane or two, as well as tool boxes, radio transmitters and needed batteries and such. It's not a truck, but it serves very well, and comfortably. Oh, all that is with only one section of the back seat folded, so I can still tuck a DLG glider in the back seat!
Fit and finish equivalent to higher priced vehicle.
Smooth, quiet, comfortable seating.
Easier to enter and exit than many larger vehicles.
Trunk carry through is excellent for hauling RC aircraft.
Excellent fuel economy.

If there is a con at all to this car, I would have to say the only disappointment my wife expressed is the car is a bit sluggish in a certain speed/gear range. It is really not a fault, but is due to the higher gearing which is one of the reasons for the excellent fuel mileage. Once you are up to highway speed though, it is totally fine. My wife just misses my old muscle car from our youth!

2010 Kia Forte - A perfect, first "big girl" car.
My 2010 Kia Forte was my first ever "big girl" purchase. I bought the car in 2013 when it was about 13 years old, and my car had about 24,000 miles on it when it was first bought. Looking back, I know I made the best decision when buying this vehicle because of how many wonderful, easy years it has given me. I'm one of those people who feels "cursed" when it comes to cars; something always breaks, and I'm always out a lot of money. My Kia, other than a couple of minor hiccups, has been an extremely reliable vehicle. I have not had any major engine or transmission issues, and to this day, it runs smooth as if it is brand new. My Kia Forte is the perfect size. It's very roomy inside to accommodate four–five people comfortably, but it's not so big that I can still weave around downtown Charleston, SC without much hassle about squeezing through tight places. My Kia came complete with Bluetooth capabilities, which makes me feel rather princess-worthy. The voice control options are actually very accurate, and it recognizes my voice well. A major downfall of this car, however, is that it comes with a compass, but it does not come with a thermostat to tell me the temperature outside! With a car that has so many bells and whistles at a super affordable price, it's odd not to have that small luxury that even older, cheaper cars typically have. Overall though, my Kia has soldiered through some tough times, and I will drive her till the wheels fall off.
Right after I got the car, I let my good friend from high school drive it out one night. We were at the gas station and he backed up right into the pump. Therefore, since the early stages of having my car, I've driven it with a small but noticeable area with the paint completely chipped off on the rear bumper. No regrets.

Roominess of the interior while not being overly massive, making it great for driving downtown in tight places. Sound system is top notch, even after plugging a $10 Bluetooth auxiliary cable from Amazon into the outlet to stream Spotify off of my iPhone. The outer body is edgy. It's not over sporty or overly grandma-ish. It's perfect for a young woman like me. The price is more than worth what you get. Repairs, when necessary, are relatively inexpensive because it's not a luxury brand, but you get luxury quality.

There is no thermostat to tell what the temperature is outside. A car that has Bluetooth voice recognition should definitely have this low-grade simple feature. It takes some time to pick up speed. You will not be winning any races in a 2010 Kia Forte. Light, cloth seats get dirty easily, and purchasing this car should come complete with upholstery cleaner in the trunk. Songs played over iTunes are able to be turned back and forth from the steering wheel, but these controls do not recognize music played on other platforms.
