My car is my baby. I love it to death. It's a '95 jeep wrangler YJ that's got about 90k miles on it and it still runs like a charm. I take it off road sometimes and have even driven it across 5 states and back. That jeep is a car like no other.
Story
I use to drive down to baltimore when I hadn't lived here yet and I would take all the doors and top off and haul my friends through the city.
Pros
It is a car that I can fix on my own and enjoy fixing. On top of that I have the ability to drive in the snow as well as the mud. I can take my Jeep on adventures which is a huge plus! I love to drive around fields and the woods and sometimes when other people get stuck I use my Jeep to pull them out. I never have to worry about my Jeep getting stuck if I park in the grass because it has Hi and Lo four wheel drive which is fantastic.
Cons
It has really poor gas mileage being a Jeep and it had sat for a while so unfortunately it had some things wrong with it but the learning experience from fixing my own car is invaluable. Also it doesn't go as fast as I wish it did but that's ok. It is very top heavy and if you go to fast it runs the risk of tipping.

I love my jeep, but they are not for everyone. They will go anywhere in any weather but you will use a lot of gas going there. I have over 140,000 miles on my wrangler and have only had to replace a few parts on it. So far a light bulb socket, throttle position switch, coil pack and starter have gone. The soft top is just about due for replacing. It does ride a little like a tank but some of that is due to the fact that mine has a lift kit and larger then stock tires.
Story
Driving it in a foot of snow up the side of my yard cause a vehicle was stuck in the driveway.
Pros
I love being able to put the top down on a sunny day or use the 4 wheel drive to push through a foot of snow. Wranglers have a coolness factor unlike any other vehicle. I also enjoy being able to pick up a catalog and pick out parts to totally change the look of my Jeep.
Cons
Wranglers have poor gas mileage, mine gets around 15 mpg. You will replace tires and shocks more often then on a small car. Back seat is fairly small, it's not easy to fit a grown adult back there. If you put the soft top down often it will most likely need to be replaced every 5 - 10 years. You can't fit a lot of groceries in the back with out getting creative.
