This is my absolute favorite vehicle I have ever owned!!! I can go from highway to mudding or wheeling in no time at all! The quality of the jeeps inline 6 is hard to beat and hard to kill. The interior leaves a lot to be desired but you don't buy a jeep for the space.
Story
The first time we took her wheeling off some trails near the Econfina property in Washington County, FL taking her off road and getting her dirty was so much fun!
Pros
Love that I can go from a soft top to a hard top or even no top!!I love being able to get lost in the woods and not have to worry about getting stuck. Another awesome thing about my jeep is that I can customize almost everything! They also hold their value so if I decided to sell her I could still recoup most of the money I put into her. Easy to maintain and easy to work on and replacement parts are readily available. Handles like a dream and can turn on a dime all in all just a fun vehicle to drive.
Cons
Jeeps are pricey vehicles but you get what you pay for. Have to be very careful when driving in the rain if you have a lift and mud tires, you better keep a safe distance because it will skid out of control if you slam on the breaks. Very loud but lift and mud tires attributes to some of that so if you have a stock jeep you probably don't have so much noise. Not a lot of space for toting kids or groceries around, but they sell racks you can add to the top or the hitch to add a little more space. Its a bumpy ride.

I liked the look of it. The style. The Jeep Wrangler engine size was good (not as good as my old 1999 Jeep Wrangler), despite the tendency to burn oil. I loved the hard top and the removable panels (freedom top panels) despite the tendency for them to leak after days of rainfall.
Story
I really enjoyed off-roading in it. I used it in my job to patrol (I worked as a security guard on a large piece of land) and spent many fond hours sitting in it (at least a few hours a night). I modified it (the interior) to suit my needs. I considered it an extension of my home.
Pros
Capability. Off-road capability is very good. Driving in snow and ice, it was very capable. Looks great, very capable-looking. Generally, the body and engine hold up well.
Cons
The headlights are anemic. The fog lights have to be used to supplement the headlights in dark driving conditions. Several parts of the vehicle's plastic/rubber interior do not hold up well in the summer heat. The engine burns oil. There have been several recalls I've had to go to the dealership to have remedied. The new electrical system (compared to my old 1999 Jeep Wrangler sport) makes it difficult to modify/install things. I cannot remember the system name, but it seems that everything is integrated of influenced by other electrical systems. Everything affects everything else. The fr... (more)
