2013 Jeep Wrangler Owner Ratings & Reviews

2013 Jeep Wrangler - Love my Jeep life.
I bought my Jeep with the most basic package as possible on purpose. I wanted a project Jeep. Jeeps are super cool for the fact that you can order so many parts to personalize them the way you want them. My Jeep is silver, which I really like, and is a four-door Jeep Wrangler. It has cloth interior and tinted windows. I bought my Jeep with a manual transmission, so when I do off roading, it can crawl up the trails better. My Jeep has a hard top that comes apart in four pieces, so it's not as heavy to take off for a nice summer day. Also two of the hard top pieces come really easy to create a sunroof which is really cool. I love that even with the basic Jeep package, Jeep didn't create a cheap interior package either. The interior still looks nice with upgraded speakers for the back and... (more)
Story
My husband deploys a lot. So it's really fun for my daughters and I to pop out the hard tops sunroofs and go down to the beach. It's super easy for me to do, and my girls love having the wind come into the Jeep!
Pros
My favorite features of my Jeep.....hmmmm. I love everything about my Jeep almost. I love the four panel hard top and that two of the panels can be taken out for easy sunroof access. I love the safety crash tests that go along with the Jeep brand. I love that my Jeep gets really good gas mileage for a vehicle that can be used as a off road vehicle as well as a city vehicle. I love that I haven't had one maintenance problem with it yet in 50,000 plus miles put on it. I love the way the Jeep handles on the road and the traction control feature for ice! I also love how much Jeeps hold their v... (more)
Cons
The only really negative thing I can say about my Jeep is that it was really hard finding a infant baby car seat that fit into the car seat safety regulations. Jeeps have really small back seats, and baby carriers have specific requirements for how much the car seat can over hang from the seat. I only found two that met the requirements, which is really scary. If a mom buys just any seat and doesn't pay attention to the car seat requirements, the car seat won't perform as it did in crash testing.
2013 Jeep Wrangler - Only in a Jeep
Jeeps are one of the most iconic and recognizable vehicles on the road. Customization is easy, and they are fun to build and make your own. Over the years, Jeep has improved engine quality and features. They are available in hard top and soft top versions, and even the variations of aftermarket tops can be custom.
Story
My son isn't necessarily a Jeep person, but learned to appreciate the uniqueness of our Jeep when we drove through high water during a rain storm. The high intake in a Jeep makes it made for this kind of driving, and my son loved being able to drive through conditions that others were unable to traverse.
Pros
Jeeps are one of the most durable and tough vehicles out there. They are made for off-road, unforgiving conditions and have stood the test of time. When you become a Jeep owner, you also become a part of a larger family. There is a reason Jeep owners always park together and wave when we pass each other. Being a part of the Jeep family is truly rewarding. Jeeps are easy to work on and diagnose, and most Jeep owners opt to perform routine maintenance and repairs themselves. The Jeep community is an amazing resource for anything from friendship, to help with your build, to advice for repairs... (more)
Cons
Jeeps have known mechanical issues for each model year. They are also notorious for leaks, whether you own the hard- or soft-top version. They are not particularly gas mileage friendly, and the more you build your Jeep, the more expensive the hobby becomes. Aftermarket upgrades can be very expensive in the end, and the larger the tires you put on your Jeep, the more expense comes with it.
