2009 Jeep Wrangler Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2009 Jeep Wrangler - Most fun vehicle I've ever owned.
I love my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. It's a blast to drive. I enjoy that it's stick shift. The soft top is super easy to take down and put back up. If you don't feel like putting the top all the way down, it has a feature called "sun-rider." The sun-rider top allows you to just flip back the portion of the roof that is above the driver/passenger seats. The four-wheel drive works great in the snow. I've never got stuck in the winter time. For fun, I take it to different off road parks to really test its capabilities. Since it is completely stock, it does pretty good on the courses easier levels. In more complex areas, it gets stuck. The only thing I do not like about it is the lack of power from the 3.8 V6 engine.
Story
Taking my nephew for a ride with the top down and doors off. I picked him up from his house. We drove about 30 miles to a pumpkin patch. He was laughing so hard just driving around and waving to people. I think he really enjoyed that the top was down, and he was able to look all over the place.
Pros
Being able to remove the top and doors. Four-wheel drive. The community of Jeep Wrangler owners is second to none. I like that it is stick shift (manual). If it rains and I have the top down, I really don't have to worry about anything getting ruined.
Cons
Lack of engine power. Lack of amenities -- power windows, power locks, and power seats.
2009 Jeep Wrangler - Ultimate fun machine
The Wrangler is a great vehicle. It's a fantastic combination of SUV and ATV. These small vehicles are incredibly capable and immeasurably fun! It's a vehicle that you can make your own with a thriving aftermarket of parts. A little time and energy and you can make your own Wrangler stick out from the crowd.
Story
Trail riding with the doors off and the top off is an experience that you can only get with a Wrangler. It is amazing!
Pros
The number of options for this vehicle are amazing. Even stock, there are numerous configuration options available. There is something special about spending five minutes to take the top off and the doors off and go cruising around on a nice summer day. The vehicle is incredibly capable off-road right off of the dealers lot. This has allowed us to see many places there simply weren't accessibly before.
Cons
Storage is at a bit of a premium with the Wrangler. There isn't a ton of storage space, so buying after-market parts almost becomes a necessity. The "trunk" is incredibly small and makes regular chores like getting groceries a tough task. The ride on road is not as refined as your typical passenger vehicle. Interior space is limited. There is a very small distance between passengers and the outside of the vehicle.
