2006 Jeep Wrangler Owner Ratings & Reviews

2006 Jeep Wrangler - Amazing
I feel that the Jeep Wrangler is a fantastic vehicle. I wanted one for years, but was always leery of it flipping if I cornered too fast. I finally threw caution to the wind and purchased one about a year ago. The vehicle feels very stable in turns. I have never felt like I was in any danger driving my Jeep. It gets great gas mileage. Its fun and sexy. Upkeep is affordable and I am able to do much of it myself.
Story
We did "donuts" in a church parking lot once. Probably not the most responsible thing to do... But, certainly fun.
Pros
I love the fact that my Jeep is a 4x4 vehicle. It really comes in handy off-road or when conditions are less than desirable. Snow and ice are no problem with a 4x4 Jeep.
Cons
One of the only negative things that I could possibly say about my Jeep is that it is difficult for my eight year old son to get into by himself. I often have to help him into the vehicle when he goes with me. Not a big problem, but it isn't always an optimal situation.
2006 Jeep Wrangler - I love my Jeep!
First off, this is the best off-road vehicle out there. I love my Jeep, but I did have some quality issues when I first received it. Paint quality is poor, and I had to take it back to the dealer to get several spots repainted. New seats since 2003 are large, awkward, too low, and difficult to see around. I had to buy seat risers to be able to see correctly over the hood (and I'm 6'1"). The transmission is 18 wheeler like and not smooth at all. Aside from all that, this is my third and best Wrangler by far. Lockers and transfer case are great. Jeep needs to up their quality control but still makes a good product overall.
Story
I took my Jeep to the lake with some friends. We went off-roading and found a nice spot. My Jeep had amazing handling through the tough spots on the road. I was proud of it, and my friends were in awe.
Pros
Turns heads, a blast to drive, a beast off road, sounds mean, goes great in the rain, snow and ice, lots of fun in the summer time. It's a Jeep! Great in the summer with the top down. Great in the winter when it snows three feet and you want to go anywhere. Great when there is no road. Fun to drive everywhere.
Cons
Fuel economy is a little steep, no amenities like power locks or windows, and interior noise is very strong. It's always thirsty, and if you aren't used to a Jeep, it can be a little loud driving down the highway with a soft top.
