I have shared this vehicle with my wife for 10 years. We bought it used and had purchased it in Dayton, Ohio. My wife had always wanted a Jeep. She is the natural born cowgirl and Jeep fanatic from her first one in her early teens. She loves to go off road and enjoys the open fields and mud. She takes it places where I would stand and walk away. I have watched her take mud pits when I want to simply take the poor vehicle and go home. We have had good luck from the day of sale till today, ten years after. it is running pretty much the same as it was when we first bought it. Our repair costs have been small, and we find it is very forgiving to our occasional remission of doing simple preventative maintenance such as an oil change. It is a vehicle of relationship, not ownership, There is ... (more)
Story
We have taken this vehicle in three months from the Atlantic to the pacific and back to the Gulf of Mexico in three months without a problem.
Pros
The body style of the Jeep is a classic one, geared to the sports enthusiast. It is comfortable to sit in, and all the controls are right where they need to be for safe and effective operation. I do like the four-wheel drive option, and the v6 has plenty of power for towing the occasional boat or camper. I have done both with a lack of any trouble.
Cons
There is one flaw that a Jeep of any year in the Wrangler series seems to have, and that is known as the death rattle. It is a serious shaking of the vehicle that occurs at 55 miles an hour.

I love my Jeep wrangler. It is the best car I have ever owned. It is so much fun and all the kids love it. It is easy to work on whenever there is a problem. It is an older car so problems are to be expected. We have had to change the clutch and radiator so far since I've owned it, and it currently eats oil up quickly. Oil is cheap and we do oil changes our self so I don't mind.
Story
We were riding around without the top and doors and it started pouring, even though the weather channel said 0% chance that day. We got soaked. It was funny and we had a good time.
Pros
My Jeep is so much fun, it's customizable where you can pick your tire size, lift it, choose between a hard or soft top. It can go pretty much anywhere from trails to off road parks. I love taking the top and doors off on hot summer days or cool fall days and nights and riding around. It makes me feel so free. Jeeps have to option to take out the back seat and leave the back windows out so it gives you the feel of a truck, with plenty of trunk space.
Cons
It doesn't ride so smooth, and you will get wet when it rains. If you get a soft top then it is a little difficult to put on and take off. There isn't a lot of storage space to put things in, such as the glove compartment and center console. My car leaks oil so I put a quart in once a week, and it is horrible on gas. I get about 8-12 miles to the gallon. I hydroplane like crazy too when it rains, because the car is so light and the tires are wide.
