We purchased a brand new 2015 Jeep Patriot 4x4 and couldn't be more pleased. The vehicle is both economical on gas and at the same time provides four-wheel drive capabilities during in climate weather and reasonable off road use.
Story
My son loves to ride up and down farm roads with the sun roof open. He thinks it's fun to stick his head out and watch as we drive past the animals. He especially liked it when he could stick his head out at the drive through Christmas light show.
Pros
The four-wheel drive has been useful when it snows in Virginia. We do not get large amount of snow all winter, but we do get a few good snows per season. Four-wheel drive has given us the ability to get out and about while others are still stuck at home. The engine is very reliable and oil and filter changes are easy to do. The interior is high quality and is holding up very well. The sound system is pretty good and the built in hard drive means we don't have to have a means to store a billion CDs. The system also plays DVDs!
Cons
New cars should come with 80k mile tires from the factory. The doors need regreasing sooner than most cars. The exhaust has a slight rattle from time to time, it can easily be fixed but the sound does get irritating. Depending on four-wheel drive and off road use, it could use a bigger engine.

The car is easy to learn and operate. Comfortable and stylish. The vehicle is very spacious for the driver and any passengers. The oil changes are supposed to only take place every 10,000 miles which is a huge relief versus the every 3,000 mile rule. The car does great in all weather situations. It gets great gas mileage on long road trips. I feel very safe and in control when I am operating the car.
Story
I love the Bluetooth feature for the radio and phone. Helps get to fun songs that the whole car can enjoy and sing together!
Pros
Very Comfortable Stylish minimal oil changes/maintenance Great gas mileage in city and highway situations really an all-terrain vehicle I've been on 2 long road trips in this vehicle and felt safe, secure, and in control at all times through all of the different weather and situations I was driving through.
Cons
Car is not as high off the ground as I would like it to be The tire pressure monitor light is on but does not indicate which tire should be inflated. Have only had the vehicle for 6 months so don't have a lot of negative experiences at this point.
