2011 Jeep Liberty - Decent Jeep
I've owned a lot of Jeep vehicles, and the 2011 newly-redesigned Jeep Liberty was better than I was expecting. The original Jeep Liberty was small. Sure, it sat five, but there wasn't much room in the back/trunk area. That changed in 2011 when the Jeep Liberty was redesigned. The vehicle still sat five, but it was stretched out, so there was more room for the passengers and for cargo in the trunk area. The Jeep performed well, but might have been a tad on the high side in price compared to other SUVs on the market but still lived up to the Jeep brand.
Story
This vehicle was fun to drive and help up well in the snow. I drove mostly on rural roads, and it handled well in all weather (rain, sleet or snow).
Pros
This Jeep had hill assist with cruise control. That was my favorite feature. I live in rural area, and when using cruise control, the vehicle would automatically adjust and shift down if the hill grade was steep. Other vehicles would just let momentum take over, and the next thing you know, you're going 20-25 miles per hour over the set cruise speed.
Cons
The Jeep was a little pricey for what it came with, features wise. I'm a pretty loyal Jeep person, but if I had shopped around, I could have gotten a comparable vehicle for less if I had gone with a different brand.
2005 Jeep Liberty - I like the Jeep
I like the look of my Jeep, and the height of the Jeep. I feel tall and can see more of the road when I'm driving. The cost was higher than I wanted to pay, but I wanted the Jeep very badly.
Story
When I would go in to store, my two black labs would sit up in the front. It looked like they were the driver and passengers, and people would say how cute they looked.
Pros
We have a lot of snow here and having four-wheel drive helps me get where I'm going. It has a sun roof, and my dog like putting his head in the sun roof when I'm driving. I like that the headlights stay on when I get out of the car for about 90 sec so I can see going in to the house.
Cons
The price. It took seven years to pay off, that's a long time. Gas mileage not too good, about 22 miles to the gallon. The Jeep is black, and it get really hot in the summer and the AC clutch went about five years ago. No A/C and no one want mess with it.
