This car handles well. Although it is larger than cars I've driven in the past, it handles easily and brakes smoothly. After 5 years, it has held up well. There has been some slight fading on the dashboard, but it has not been extremely noticeable. I chose a cloth interior, which has held up over time. I have two large dogs, and they can both comfortably ride in the back of the car. They each have enough space that they don't fight constantly, even when we take 4+ hour car rides. I work from home, but often have to deliver materials to clients, and this car has enough space for anything I might deliver, while still looking professional. The car is incredibly comfortable for long car trips, and the added compartment in the trunk allows for keeping sandy bathing suits after a day at the ... (more)
Story
My husband and I drove to a local field, popped the trunk, and sat in the back to stargaze.
Pros
My favorite thing about the car is its size. It's both big enough to hold luggage, supplies, and my dogs, while also being small enough that I feel like I can easily handle the car.
Cons
My least favorite thing about the car is the fuel economy, although I expected less-than-stellar fuel economy when I chose a small SUV.

2009 Jeep Liberty - Low in power, high in reliability

This is my 3rd Jeep, but my first Liberty. I needed something with an available 4WDL so my choices were limited, but I really liked the dealership and I liked my previous Jeeps. I also wanted leather interior, automatic transmission and power locks and windows. I only had a short test drive, and wasn't able to drive it on a 4WD road, but it seemed to be what I needed and the price was right for the options I desired.
Story
Because it's an SUV and has 4WDL, I was able to take a group of us to a concert on a steep gravel road that no one else's car could get to.
Pros
It has 4WDL, which is very hard to find in an SUV. It has power windows and locks, leather interior, sunroof, cruise control, intermittent wipers, a rear wiper and neutral colors for a decent price. Although I didn't know it at the time, it has been incredibly reliable. I also like the way it looks.
Cons
It doesn't have much power. It has a smaller engine than the Wrangler, which I traded in, but it's a heavier car. I had to put it into 4WD in places where I normally wouldn't have needed it and I got stuck twice in snow (even with 4WDL engaged) that I know my other 2 Jeeps would have gotten out of. It also has a cheap feel to the interior.
