Even though my car is 15+ years old, it still drives like a fairly new vehicle. The steering and handling is smooth, along with the braking. The interior material for the car seats and dashboard are of a high quality. The interior was still in mint condition when I bought it, even though it was an older car. There are issues with the electrical components though. The automatic lock and window panel on the driver's side stopped working. There is also a pretty big oil leak, which I heard is common for the age of my car. The car is past the 200,000 mile mark and is holding up very well. Besides the oil leak, there are no other issues with the engine. The fuel economy isn't that great, but for a bigger SUV type car, this is expected. The seats are comfy and the back seats are very roomy. T... (more)

The vehicle was bought on my 19th birthday and was bought used at 198k miles. There are two main reasons I bought the vehicle at such a high mileage: These cars are reliable, most of the major mechanical components will last a seriously long lifetime. And I bought it for a very reasonable price. The car, in the two years I have owned it, has done very well. It has only had minor mechanical issues, which I am savvy enough to fix.
Story
I have taken this vehicle into the mountains near where I live and had some fun time off-roading (nothing too serious). Despite it being a Grand Cherokee, Jeep definitely knew what they were doing. It did not have any single problem climbing obstacles of any sort or doing anything on the trail.
Pros
The car looks great, and sounds great. The 5.9 liter V8 motor is hefty and sturdy, and sounds great at wide open throttle. Because this was the highest available package, the exhaust is much nicer than the stock Grand Cherokee and sounds great. The all leather interior is very comfortable, and the car itself is spacious. I use it to carry lots of music equipment, and I have never had a problem transporting large basses or tubas. It has got me there from point A to point B in a relative amount of comfort.
Cons
The main negative drawback of this vehicle is the fuel mileage. The car gets an average of 15 mpg city (for the size of the motor at that age, that is not bad) and around 20 mpg on the highway. The fuel tank is 23 gallons and can break the bank.

The men who sold us our vehicle were so nice and I never felt pressured into any deal I wasn't ready to make. It came across to me that they were honest and were genuinely interested in which car would fit our needs the best. These qualities can be very hard to find at most car dealerships.
