2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee - The Grand JEEP
Before I bought my Grand Jeep Cherokee, I had a small car. I needed more space for my family and this was indeed the right choice. The car has seating for 5 people plus a huge trunk space to fit many things. It also has a rack on top for bikes, luggage, or whatever else you need to transport. The car is very good on gas for it being an SUV. It has leather seats that are easy to keep clean, although I would prefer the seats to be heated especially for the winter season. The car runs great and is very cost effective for maintenance issues. We travel a lot and have put many miles on the vehicle and it is still moving along just fine with minimal issues.
Story
One time My husband and I loaded up the kids and all of their ride on toys is the back and went to the park all day. We were so surprised that all of their ride on toys fit.
Pros
I love that the car is very good on gas for an SUV with the rising gas prices. The biggest pro about the Jeep is all of the space to travel with in the trunk. For a big family we can get everything we need and more. I also like that the car is very simplistic with all of its buttons and gadgets. Very easy to figure out without looking through the manual.
Cons
I do not like that the bumpers seem very cheap. I was barely bumped and the back one was falling right off. Luckily it didn't break the bank to fix it. I also have had to change the windshield wipers very frequently due to them dulling out so quickly.
2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Grand Cherokee
We've had the Jeep since 2013 and really enjoy it. So much so that we're looking to get an updated model with a few more bells and whistles. We love the size and storage space. It's plenty big without being hard to maneuver or park. Gas mileage is just ok, but that's to be expected with an AWD SUV. Also, it can pull our boat without being an enormous truck or something like that. Big plus.
Story
Taking it out on the beach where you can access if you have AWD/4WD and camping. Great trip!
Pros
The size is great. Plenty of room inside without being difficult to park or handle. Good leg room for a tall person and enough room for the dogs. Biggest plus is being able to tow our boat without investing in a large truck that we don't really want. AWD is also great for traveling to the mountains in the winter when our other car can't handle the conditions.
Cons
Gas mileage is just ok, not horrible though. We had an issue with the radio not working, and the dealership not being able to figure out the problem, but that could be an isolated thing or even just because of lack of knowledge at the dealership. The cloth interior is hard to keep clean with dogs, but that's our fault for opting for that instead of leather.
