This is our fifth Jeep that we have owned. I can honestly say that has been our absolute favorite. We loved all of our other Jeeps, Grand Cherokees, Cherokee and Liberty, but the Overland has been our favorite. Not only does it feel solid going down the road, but it is extremely comfortable and quiet. The interior is absolutely beautiful, and the leather is soft. We receive several compliments on this Jeep when we take it places. It has been extremely reliable, and we have only had to do regular maintenance on this vehicle. We have a dog, and there is plenty of room for him to ride in the back if all of the seats in the Jeep happen to be full. I can say that the only downfall has been the gas mileage. I can say that in town we do not the mileage that was stated on our window st... (more)
Story
Drove it on the sand here in Michigan. We have lots of dunes and such. It handled wonderfully.
Pros
Reliability. We have owned this vehicle for over three years and have only had to perform regular maintenance. We love this Jeep. The features provided in the Overland are both beautiful and functional. The fold-in option for the mirrors is great when parking and taking it through a wash. I love just pushing the button and having it do it automatically. We also love the heated and cooled seats.
Cons
Negative would have to be the gas mileage. It is not as great as I would like it to be. It is a few miles off from the window sticker. Technically, you could use flex fuel to balance it out, but flex fuel is not always that easy to find.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland came standard with all the upgrades I was looking for when transitioning to an SUV. Jeep was the only brand we were considering but still had to decide between the Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee. We ultimately chose the Grand Cherokee because of the available options. The size played a big role and I felt that it did not seem excessively large or overbearing while driving. The upgrades included heated seats in front and back and cooling seats in front. I love the heated steering wheel in the winter, it helps more than you'd think. Having the remote start is awesome as well. Nothing beats having a warm car with warm seats waiting for you on a cold morning. The quality of the Grand Cherokee is great. We have had the vehicle for just over two years and h... (more)
Story
We had a blast taking the SUV out in freshly fallen snow and drifting a bit making donuts.
Pros
The pros of this vehicle are all the options that come standard with the Overland. The heated/cooled seats, full front and back sunroof, back up camera, leather seats. Everything I wanted was already included. The color and overall body of the Grand Cherokee is wonderful.
Cons
For an SUV in this day in age, I feel that the gas mileage could be a little bit better and more efficient. There is a large tank so it doesn't feel like you are filling up all that often, but it should also get you a little further than it does. Another con is that Jeeps tend not to have great resale value.
